Been there quite a few times recently. The food is high quality and well made, but in my opinion, it's the coffee that stands out. Probably the best latte I've ever had. Just be aware that the shop is quite small so getting a table can be hard at peak times.

Just moved into the town, delighted to have this gem on our doorstep! Gone a couple of times during renovations and food and coffee was exceptional every time.

What a gem of a spot near the station, we had lunch today......and what value for money and delicious food. The pancakes and Full irish were just fantastic. Amazing coffee, buzzing atmosphere and lovely happy staff. Keep up the great work đź‘Ť

15/07/2025: My friend and I wondered in just before Christmas, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially, with my vegan needs. It was an experience rather than simple dining. Absolutely stunning food! Highly recommend to visit this restaurant, and to experience the cuisine and the hospitality of O’Dooles! It is definitely going to be a memorable experience!
05/07/2025: Amazing little restaurant. Came across it by accident recently and I'm so glad I did. The food was amazing and they also do really good cocktails. Great place for a nice evening out. Very pleasant staff and very accommodating for gluten free foods.

26/06/2025: Popped into JB Mahoney recently and honestly, what a find. It’s got that rare mix of proper character and a genuinely warm atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. The Guinness? Spot on, creamy, smooth, poured with care. You can tell they take pride in it, which is more than you can say for a lot of places. And if you haven’t tried the Algerian, you’re missing out – bold, rich, and absolutely delicious. A proper pint to remember. The bar staff are brilliant, friendly, funny, and somehow manage to keep everything running smoothly even when it's packed. Even, the teachers chap I was speaking to inside. JB Mahoney’s strikes that perfect balance: welcoming, down-to-earth, but with real quality behind the bar. Whether you're in for a quiet one or a few rounds with mates, this place just gets it right.
