Party of 4 for a late lunch. Excellent service and outstanding food at reasonable prices. Good wine list too. The spring rolls were the best I’ve ever had and the flank steak was also outstanding. Everyone in the party had nothing but praise for food, service and atmosphere. Great place and we will definitely return!

We booked a dinner for a farewell of a dear friend at this place. The venue is cozy, food is good and staff is lovely. The waitress heard we were having a farewell party and got a Polaroid camera out of nowhere and offrered to take a picture, making the moment more special. Everything here is 5 stars, but thw staff is definitely 6! Highly recommend

Went there for our anniversary . It was absolutely fantastic. Food was impeccable, steaks at the perfect temperature, everything great, including the service. All staff very friendly and attentive, specially Rebeca. She was perfect. We loved the lovely surprise at the end with the polaroid photo. That was so sweet! We totally recommend. Can’t wait to be back.

Food was nothing short of excellent and the service we got throughout the night was perfect also. Staff are very friendly and on top of everything. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

We had a totally incredible meal here, the sharing steak was cooked perfectly, amazing char level, the crispy potatoes and charred broccoli were the perfect amount to share for 2. The wine we had was lovely, and the rendang spring rolls were delicious to start. The level of service also really elevated everything for us. The waitress was so welcoming, personable and friendly. We were deliberating between two wines and she brought us tasters of each to decide, then overheard my mentioning that it was my husbands birthday, so took an adorable Polaroid pic of us to take home too. I notice she gave the same level of genuine attention to all the tables around us, she’s a credit to the place, unfortunately we didn’t get her name. We will definitely return, the food on the tables at either side of us also looked great.

I ate here this week and I was very impressed. The rendang spring rolls and short rib were both out of this world and the Panna cotta was very nice also. Unfortunately they do not serve tea or coffee. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Just to note that there are no accessible toilets. I'll definitely be back.

Having received mentions in both The Sunday Times 100 best Irish Restaurants, and the Michelin Guide 2024 (to name but two), Mister S on Dublin’s Camden St Lower has acquired a reputation for creating simple yet stunning plates by cooking great Irish produce over fire. Mister S’s mantra is to use “better meat, sustainable fish stocks, and to support local ethical farming”, and the restaurant is passionate about the wonderful flavours created by live fire cooking. We called in early on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant was buzzing, and the amazing aromas of charcoal, wood and smoke were already emanating from the open kitchen. Our server, Rebecca, was a delight. Efficient, informative, and exuding fun and friendliness. We enjoyed a terrific bottle of Portuguese Adega de Penalva, while we decided on our food order. Eventually, we plumped for the refreshing Sliced Tuna, with Watermelon in a piquant Aguachile, with crispy Tostada, and a dish of Charred Leeks on Romesco, with creamy Mozzarella. To follow, the Halibut fillet was smoky and delicious, with Mussels in a rich Bisque Sauce, and the Cauliflower had been treated with the same care and attention as its meaty alternatives -perfectly charred, tender, and full of flavour, served with Chermoula and Pomegranate. And the Triple Cooked Fried Potatoes with Onion Salt were golden, crunchy treats-especially dipped in the garlicky Aioli. Dessert was also fantastic; a wobbly, yet perfectly firm in texture Orange and Vanilla Panna Cotta in a gorgeous Saffron Syrup. All in all, Mister S delivers wonderfully smoky, delicious dishes in an informal setting, with excellent service. We’ll definitely be returning. We snagged a reservation to celebrate our anniversary. We are so thrilled we did. The service is so warm and kind. The food is beautiful and delicious! They even took a Polaroid, of us, to mark the occasion. If you’ll be in Dublin, definitely make a reservation here! You will be so happy you did! It’s an easy walk from The Shelbourne and St Stephen’s Green.
