Finally found a spot in Ireland that knows how to make proper matcha. I stopped by Mocha Beans during my stay and was honestly impressed. I got the iced vanilla matcha with strawberry purée and cold foam, and it was so good — creamy, smooth, and refreshing without being too sweet. The strawberry at the bottom added the perfect touch of flavor. The young girl working that day was super helpful and patient — she really took her time walking me through all the drink options and made sure I got something I’d like. Turns out they had almost every flavor available (except butter pecan, lol). The service definitely made the experience even better. Overall, this place is a gem. Chill vibe, great drinks, and friendly staff. Whether you’re passing through or staying nearby, it’s definitely worth stopping by — I’ll be back again before I leave.

26/08/2025: Absolutely love this restaurant. Eaten in Poachers about 10 times over past couple of years and this place is, hands down, my favourite restaurant in the west of Ireland to visit. Everything about it....the foods, the flavours, the wines, the staff, all exceptional. The braised beef cheeks? PUT IT IN MY VEINS! Going again this Friday, and I can't wait!
21/08/2025: The best restaurant we visited in our three weeks in Ireland! We were here with our two children and weren't sure at first if it was a good idea to take them to a high-end restaurant. But from the start, everything worked out great. There's an excellent children's menu, crayons, and something to color in, and the waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding, almost Michelin-star quality—but still affordable. The large selection of vegetarian dishes is remarkable. The waiter gave us excellent advice on matching wines for each course; the virgin mojito was also excellent! For anyone looking for something different than an Irish pub with burgers and pizza, this is the place for you!

31/08/2025: Should have one person on seating people at the door instead of 10 different people. Had the full irish and the sausages are probably the worse sausages I have ever had. They were that small and skimpy yad need 10 on the plate. Outside of that it was alright. Menu is quite varied which is a plus. Place just seems hectic with numerous staff running around the place.
19/08/2025: Had a great time tonight. Felt very welcomed by the staff. The poached salmon was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend for solo travellers.
