Montenotte Bistro in Cork

Rooms are great, quiet and clean. Our experience with staff was mixed: very attentive and friendly at entrance and reception. Very slow, inattentive and overwhelmed or generally overstrained at the bar and breakfast area. A big disappointment was the fact that smoking is still allowed on the terrace of the restaurant. It's 2025, come on. Poisonous odours don't only making sitting outside impossible but waft inside and make the entire experience unpleasant for so many. The spa area is nice and in good condition.

We had a great experience and would highly and easily recommend this stay to other! Jess, at reception, was exceptionally kind and so pleasant- as well as knowledgeable in order to point us in the right direction. Great place! All staff were great and room was nice and clean.

Off busy narrow street, so have a good navigation so you don't m8ss the entry like we did, as it was a bear to get back here. Otherwise, this has been the best hotel we have stayed while in Ireland so far. The staff and hotels attention to details are top notch. You should not be disappointed!

Our stay at Montenotte Hotel was great! The staff was friendly, and since we left very early the next day, they kindly packed us breakfast, excellent customer service. The room was comfortable, though the hotel layout is a bit unusual and the elevator isn’t very functional. Other than that, the hotel has a nice restaurant and bar. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful stay at The Montenotte Hotel, made truly memorable by the people. At the Panorama Restaurant, Omer Deniz was outstanding — warm, smiling, and attentive throughout. His wine recommendation was perfect, and he turned a lovely dinner into one of the highlights of our trip. At the front desk, Daniella was equally amazing. She handled my special requests with patience and kindness, never once making me feel like a bother. The hotel itself is beautiful, about 20 minutes’ walk from the city, with stylish rooms and stunning views. But it’s the people like Omer and Daniella who make it unforgettable.

My wife and I stayed at the Montenotte Hotel in Cork this past weekend, as we traveled from the States to Ireland for a family friend's wedding. The hotel provided excellent service and an amazing experience. In particular, Jess with the concierge's desk was outstanding: She coordinated travel to and from Dublin to Cork for us and gave us great guidance and service throughout our entire stay. The overall physical plant of the hotel was beautiful; with a picturesque vista from multiple verandas / dining venues. The food was excellent, and the hotel has a great bar scene. It's also conveniently located close to the center of the city, but it still is tucked away in an alcove away from traffic and noise. Lovely balcony area for breakfast and evening cocktails, very comfortable bed and relaxing vibes. My air con was tricky to get working, but a perfect stay beyond that!

Aptly named, it offers breathtaking views over Cork city, making every meal a visual and culinary delight. The food was consistently outstanding — fresh, creative, and beautifully presented. We came to The Montenotte with very high expectations, and yet they were not only met but completely exceeded. The level of care, attention to detail, and the genuine hospitality we experienced left a lasting impression. We left feeling truly special, already planning our return. Difficult road access for American drivers....be patient. View is stunning. The service personell are the best of any hotel I've stayed, id give a 5 star just for the service. Standard Rooms dont have a refrigerator or dresser but otherwise are excellently appointed. There is heat and a/c which many accommodations in Europe are without. Typical standard room is a double single, what americans call a king. Upgradef rooms available. Spa onsite... book in advance online. Terrace, restaurant, and pub on-site. Craft pub and wine restaurant share a building 500 meters down the hill. Lifts for the handicapped. If you meet Ken at the door, it will be a minute before you get to the front desk as he will find all you preferences and needs to make your stay enjoyable.

Tuve el placer de visitar aquí para el almuerzo. Me encantó el menú y el personal me pareció muy atento, lo que realmente hace la diferencia. Hubo un retraso en el plato principal que se sirve, pero nos ofrecieron una bebida como compensación. La comida era increíble cuando IT llegó. Definitivamente volveré. Muy agradable experiencia.
