I can't share the positive reviews. We booked 5 nights there and as a thank you we were given a very old-fashioned room with mold in the bathroom. Everything looked different when we booked. After complaining, we were allowed to change - to an identical room with a little less mold. There were only lamps in the room (one of them broken) with dark lampshades - no ceiling light - which is why it was always dark in the room. The room was on the ground floor and you could easily see the bed from the parking lot. The heating knocked at night and it was still always cold. Of course there was no air conditioning either.
We will not be returning to the Montenotte Hotel and feel it was an expensive experience...
The Motion Health Club, the panoramic restaurant and the spa are really good, hence still 3 stars.

We requested early checkin, and even on a very busy weekend we got it! Staff are so friendly and helpful. Could not recommend this place more! A walk up a big hill to get here but taxis and buses are easily available.

The review is only for the food. We were nine people and booked our brunch in advance. The location is great and the view from the terrace is outstanding. There is also a fountain outside. The food was just ok with reasonable price. The hotel and it’s nearby areas are cleaned and maintained very well.

Lovely breakfast. Awesome cocktails. Good service. Beautiful pool and spa area. Very nice rooms albeit our view was of a wall. All in all very pleasant.
Couple of areas for improvement - No smart TVs so no netflix options etc... they should really upgrade. If you don't have a credit card they make you pay upfront for room and then as you go for everything else. Only time I've ever experienced this in any hotel anywhere. Feels a bit cheap and insulting TBH. As if they are expecting you to do a runner from the moment you arrive. Just pay for a system where you can take debit card swipes rather than just credit cards like every other high end hotel I'm the world!)... Like the TVs,... get a sense management doesn't want to spend the money though.
BUT as I said. A lovely stay and i would stull recommend if you can live without streaming services 😀

This is a difficult hotel to review because it’s a bit of a study in some contradictions. The public areas are just simply beautiful. The terraces and the views can’t be beat. The restaurant has a really good offerings, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of what you get. The wine list is wonderful. The housekeeping staff is wonderful as well. so why is this a four star review instead of a five? It’s down to some shortcomings in the "hard product". There is a leak from a toilet inside the wall that pools in our bathroom as you flush the toilet. I wouldn’t hold that against the hotel, these issues come up out of the blue sometimes. But this is clearly a long-term issue, the tiles are loose and sharp on the bathroom floor. It seems like the water has been running under the tiles for quite some time, and the issue has been unaddressed. None of the rather old televisions in the Residences connect to the wireless, so you're left with the rather limited local cable options. Finally, seen in the attached photo we woke up to a last-minute notice that power in our area of the hotel would be cut for 2 hours this morning. That meant that with 3 hours notice we essentially had to be ready to check out before we were supposed to check out.

Highly recommend. Had a girly day there, complete with a dip in the pool, massage and finished the day in the salt room. Beautiful views and nice staff all around.

This hotel is magnificent. Unfortunately we had a little problem on arrival, I had in fact requested a twin room confirmed by the young receptionist but upon discovering the room it was a double bed. A very kind person came to redo the bed as I wanted but it was already late, we had driven a lot, it would have been nice to relax rather than wait. I also wanted a floor shower and not a bathtub but there was only one from the next day, but if I take 4 nights in the same hotel it's not to repack my bags the next day. We were offered breakfast as compensation which was very nice, however I would have preferred a slightly larger bathroom without a bathtub and with a magnifying mirror for applying makeup. There is also no mini bar which is not user-friendly or practical.
