A beautiful house well worth a visit. Don't forget to visit Muckross Abbey, which is just a short drive away and free to enter.

A stunning place with years of history.

A lovely little walk around the property, unfortunately the farm was closed, and we thought the price for visiting the castle was a bit high.

A well preserved house showing the history with artifacts dating back to late 1800's. There is an information and cafeteria building that serves hot and cold food choices as well as beverages. A gift shop with locally (Irish) made items. 🚻 Restrooms are also located in this building. This is a state park so wondering the grounds all year is beautiful.

Stunning grounds to walk around

I visited here in October 1991. It will always be in my mind what an amazing place this is. I can't imagine what it would have been like to live there back in the day. It's like a whole town in the basement.

Muckross House is a beautiful historic estate set beside the lakes of Killarney. The house itself is elegant and well preserved, while the gardens, walks, and nearby trails are just as impressive. A great mix of history, nature, and scenery, well worth a visit.
