Muckross House in

Wonderful for a walk and tours of house

It's a big house with some history. Not really a place I would go out of my way to visit, but it was a nice house, estate and had some good walks. Check it out if you have the time. Highly recommend the food in the cafeteria close to the muckross house.

I specifically came to Killarney to visit Muckross House and it is closed until 2nd of January. I looked the official website, Instagram and Facebook and that information is nowhere to be found.

The house and grounds are beautiful! Get here early in the winter because the winter hours are shorter.

Beautiful Property!! Huge property for walk.

A Victorian mansion situated on the shores of Muckross Lough, from which it takes its name. It is located in Killarney National Park. Designed by William Burn, its construction began in 1839 and was completed in 1843. Its elegant interior design transports you back to the 19th century.

Its basically an awesome house tour. You cant take videos only photos. There was a white crow in there i thought that was awesome. Lots of prized antlers made me thought about that deer that got beheaded in Phoenix Park recently. The exit led to the shop that led to us buying some muckross apparell. 🫢

Loved the tour!! Docents were a little dry but didn’t detract from the overall experience. Loved seeing the period furniture.l and learned a lot about how the house would have operated.

Unbelievable estate house with endless walking trails

Very Christmassey and festive at muckross Cafe. Take the family for a brisk walk and pop into the Cafe for refreshment after and warm your bones. Friendly staff in this canteeen style Cafe. Love the shop too. Buy some gorgeous Tweed from muckross weavers.
