Muckross House in

06/07/2025: We landed just before 11am amd stayed three hours. The buses arrived from noon onwards and made the general resturant tea rooms and toilets very busy. You can spend longer with beautiful walks but the girls were tired and the dog was soaked to the skin. The house is fabulous but note no dogs allowed in any buildings or the bus. Yes there is a bus going every 10/15 min. We walked otherwise we would have missed the beautiful waterfall and the grotto. The tea rooms had no glasses so we had to drink out of containers. Staff lovely and helpful. I would certainly go again but would go earlier. And we were cursed with heavy mist and foggy conditions. Also its a euro to light a candle and the gothic church and walled garden were my favourite.

06/07/2025: The gardens are stunning and the Abbey is even more picturesque than the what you see in photos.
