If you curious about history and architecture, then this is a must see!

Muckross House is actually a must see when visiting the Killarney area. The house itself and the adjoining parks are very impressive and have lots of exhibits. However, it has to be said that the presentation seems a bit thrown together and the staff on site seem a bit disinterested, so that the whole thing seems more like a tourist attraction. It just lacks a bit of heart and enthusiasm.

Great and large, very well-kept park with wonderful old and large trees. Nice for a walk. There is a large visitor parking lot and plenty of toilets, free to use. Viewing of the house is possible for EUR 9 per adult. In the courtyard there is a small shop with high-quality Irish fashion such as hats, scarves, blankets etc. as well as souvenirs

Amazing place, very interesting to see how the English culture effected Irish architecture in Ireland.

A grand old mansion with lovely designs, cutlery and furniture from the early 19th century which you can walk around and explore. It takes about 45 minutes and the entry cost is €8. The gardens are also really nice to walk around and they have parking close by. Would recommend. My favorite parts in the Mansion were actually the game rooms and play things, the kitchens with all the utensils and ingredients bottles they used in the past, laundry rooms and other things that the servants were using. They have preserved those parts too, which is something that you don't typically get to see. The view of the lake from the top floor is also quite nice.

The gardens are impressive to explore. Everything very careful and very varied.

A beautiful manor house on a magnificent estate with fantastic walkways and a beautiful lakefront. This is how you get to the site, there is no entrance fee and parking is also free. You can only get into the house with a purchased ticket, which I would purchase online in advance.
