Murphy's Ice Cream in An daingean

We stopped in the Pier location on September 22 for an ice cream "dinner". Both of us tasted a few flavors, and we both decided on the same combination: chocolate whiskey and honeycomb caramel, which were great together. The staff and service were excellent, and the ice cream was more than enough to satisfy us as "dinner". However the ice cream did not agree with our digestive systems at all and we both ended up having to take some Imodium to get things calmed down. That's never happened before and we do love our ice cream and frozen custards. Maybe it was a higher fat content than we're used to, but it did make for a very uncomfortable overnight. Hope you enjoy it more with no after effects!

It's expensive, but it's delicious. It's even better than the one I had in Dublin. I tried strawberry, brown bread, and cookie flavors, and they were all delicious.

American on a family vacation, Stopped in around 5:00 on a Tuesday, line out the door, but two girls were offering taste tests of the flavors to help you decide on your order while waiting. We had 5 people ordering and the girl behind the counter was patient and kind. She asked us about our trip and was chatty and fun. What a lovely encounter, Ice cream was delicious, between us all we had just about every flavor and each one was a winner. Definitely a must stop while in town!

Really good and interesting ice cream. As a treat it is worth the calories! The sea salt is awesome as is the Chocolate ice cream.
