Traditional pub offers a menu of light, well-prepared dishes accompanied by local beers. I tried the fish and chips: the breading is light and crispy, while the fish is soft and juicy inside. It is a very delicate dish, definitely worth trying. 🐟💯

What a glorious location for a short stay! Travelled from Galway and we were warmly greeted by Dylan who showed us to our well appointed room on the top floor. The room was warm and comfortable with a view of the water and the food in the pub was great . The seafood chowder (recommended by Dylan) was the best we had in Ireland. Close to town, with secure parking at the back of the pub and a short walk to the Dingle Distillery! What more could you ask for? Murphy’s Ice cream parlour a few doors down served Dingle Gin ice cream….you must try this specialty of the house as it was incredible!

We arrived about 6pm on Saturday. A table was about a 15 minute wait or we could have the last two seats at the bar. We chose the bar. It was ok but if I was doing it again I'd probably wait for the table; although I'm not sure about that since sitting at the bar gave us the chance to chat with the servers. Both of our meals were good. By 7pm tables seemed to be opening up. The best time to arrive seems to be before 5:30pm or after 7pm.

We were looking for a pub to have lunch and came across this place near the waterfront. They offer a large selection of beers on tap and also brought us a large bottle of water and glasses. My wife and I shared the beef and Guinness stew (18 euros) which was a large bowl of meaty stew topped with mashed potatoes. It was very good and plentiful enough to fill both of us up. We also enjoyed the baguette that was served with the stew. Others in our group also liked the seafood chowder.

Reel Dingle Fish

06/12/2024: Been eating fish and chips for over 50 years and this is the best. Great fish and wonderful service. Worth flying back from Canada for
17/11/2024: Wow! What an amazing place! We stumbled in Dingle and were looking for a place to eat fresh food. From the moment we entered, we knew this place would be great: the man working at the counter was extremely friendly, and explained to us the fresh fish available that day. In only 10 minutes the food was ready and oh wow, it was truly delicious. We got the monkfish and hake with chips and tartare sauce - a must try! Little side note, if it is sunny you can eat your meal in front of the port, just 2 minutes from Reel Dingle Fish, there is a big seating area - it doesn't get better than that!

Dick Mack's

10/11/2024: A unique pub. Take in their shelves of great whiskey… or are those great walls of fire? 😄 Ask the barman to show you the historic wall outside behind the pub. It my originate from the 1500s, the result of what happened after the Desmond Rebellion. In 1569, the residents of Dingle requested a "murage grant" to build walls around the town, but were unsuccessful. After the Spanish and French tried to aid the natives against the Crown, the peninsula was raided and ravaged by British forces, and Dingle was burned for a third time during this period by the Earl of Ormond. After the rebellion was crushed, Queen Elizabeth granted a royal charter to make Dingle a walled town. This allowed the town to be incorporated as a borough, the first of its kind in Kerry. The town's street layout and some traces of the walls remain, preserving the pattern of burgage plots. The old wall behind the pub may be a part of this.
09/11/2024: One of only a few pubs with that nostalgic feeling
