Lovely pub, bar staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lots of sports on the TV's , they catered for all. Nice snugs in it too. Pint of Murphy's was top class. Would recommend popping in if you're in Galway

Has and always been one of my favourite pubs. Tonnes of character and a lovely pint of Guinness. The staff are ace and always leave wanting to come back.

The gelato is quite good if you choose the whiskey or other liqueur flavors, as the others are bland and a bit washed out. They're nothing like Italian gelato, and considering that a small gelato with two tiny scoops costs €6.50.

Called in on Saturday evening with friends and had a wonderful time. Pints were fresh and tasty. Service was brilliant. Smashing pub!

The Secret Garden

28/12/2025: A magical enclave. There are jars and jars of teas to choose from, a selection of pastries that are as beautiful as they are delicious, and cosy seating that includes floor tables and cushions. I wish I had more time in Galway; this would be my poetry writing hideaway.
26/12/2025: Beautiful tea and coffees here as well as being such a place to meet people to chat. Amazing staff and sweet baked goods too.

O'Connor's Famous Pub

19/12/2025: Warm friendly welcoming pub offering live music 7 nights a week. Doesn't serve food.
10/12/2025: I loved it. Absolutely beautiful and the Christmas decorations were fantastic. I've heard that Ed Sheeran filmed the music video for "Galway Girl" here. I don't know for sure, but I've heard it's a popular meeting place for artists. Whether that's true or not, I really enjoyed it and I recommend it.
