Lovely pub, bar staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lots of sports on the TV's , they catered for all. Nice snugs in it too. Pint of Murphy's was top class. Would recommend popping in if you're in Galway

Has and always been one of my favourite pubs. Tonnes of character and a lovely pint of Guinness. The staff are ace and always leave wanting to come back.

The gelato is quite good if you choose the whiskey or other liqueur flavors, as the others are bland and a bit washed out. They're nothing like Italian gelato, and considering that a small gelato with two tiny scoops costs €6.50.

Called in on Saturday evening with friends and had a wonderful time. Pints were fresh and tasty. Service was brilliant. Smashing pub!

The Secret Garden

14/12/2025: This place is lovely. A broad tea selection and the pastries are both beautiful and delicious. I’ve been in three times and haven’t had a hard time finding seating though it wouldn’t surprise me if it is hard at times. The door to outside can keep things cold on the inside if not shut but they do their best. Service has always been friendly and prompt.
05/12/2025: The carrot cake was outstanding. Very cozy atmosphere, relaxed vibe.

01/01/2026: One of my favourite places in Galway. Outstanding cheese and accompaniments. It's a regular treat for us. Reasonably priced for the level is quality of the produce. Can't recommend enough!
26/12/2025: What an incredible little shop! Bought some interesting pieces for our Christmas eve charcuterie (and some delicious butter)
