Neary's in Dublin

Great vibe, bar staff very good but one was rude verging on obnoxious. Definitely tainted our experience and quite disappointing.

Great pub in a great location. Excellent service and professional friendly staff. Very busy place can be difficult to find seating but worth it.

We were recommend to try Neary's by a local retail manager. They accept calls ahead to reserve a table, which was great since they are so popular. A very cozy room with nice heat to help us warm up from the winter cold outside. I had a club sandwich with chips (fries), which overall was tasty. Definitely the highlight, however, was the draft cider they had. Also, they of course serve Guinness. To any travelers, this is definitely a place to try! It's so good, even the locals come here often!

Neary’s was a stop on my “Dublin Pub Crawl” list, and it instantly stood out as one of the more beautiful, old luxury pubs in the city. Everything in this place looks polished, historic and somehow cleaner than any pub from the 1800s has any right to be. The real surprise, though? How comfortable it is. The bar seats are soft and the floor is oddly carpeted. A carpeted pub floor. I did not expect that at all. Suddenly the “bar and lounge” title makes perfect sense. The atmosphere was great, and the bartender was even better. Not only did he serve a solid pint, but he also helped me add new suggestions to my pub crawl list. We talked for a while about the places I had already been to, and he gave real, honest recommendations, not the usual “tourist checklist” answers. Friendly guy, great conversation, top notch service. This is not your typical “trad” pub. There is no wild music session, no shouting over a crowd and no chaos. Neary’s is more refined, more relaxed and honestly, it was a nice break in the middle of a busy day. Overall, Neary’s is classy, comfortable and surprisingly cozy for a luxury pub. Great staff, great atmosphere and a carpeted floor that still blows my mind.
