Nevin's Newfield Inn in

Visited this establishment while I was on a week away and to say the staff, food and service was outstanding would be an understatement I can't recommend this place enough if you are ever in Newport this is a must go place.

Stopped over with Campervan, couple of pints and a meal, lovely. Very friendly service with nice warm atmosphere.

Food as always was excellent, staff are exceptional. John is always on hand to make sure you are happy with the service.

A great place to stop for food on the way to Achill. Really lovely seating areas and an open fire during winter. Food is top-notch and fairly priced.

Called in on a whim for food and were facilitated with a table after a very short wait. Very friendly place with excellent staff and a great atmosphere. We had main courses and desserts which were frankly excellent and good value. Will definitely be back.

I stayed in nevins for 1 night before going to the local hotel. It was a hughe mistake!! I should have stayed in Nevins for the 3 nights. Excelent in every way. Highley recomended it is truly the home of hospitality.

I arrived for lunch with a tour bus at Nevins. This restaurant is fantastic at every level - food, drink, service, atmosphere. When I’m back on this coast of Ireland, I shall make a special effort to visit here again. Everyone from servers to the owner himself was so friendly and hospitable while being efficient at a level I still can’t conceive how they do it. My advice: Go if you possibly can.

I’m a fan of nevins. Staff are lovely and the location is great. Especially for camper van enthusiasts. But the food wasn’t up to standard. We had lunch and dinner ( and stayed in the van parking) soup was pretty tasteless and only 1 slice of brown bread. Shepherds pie from the specials was tasty but too much mash and in a pastry case. Not enough meat for me. The robot was fun.

We had passed Nevin’s at the start of the day and it was in our heads to call there for food later in the day. We arrived, without a booking, on what was a very busy Father’s Day lunch time - but this was non trouble to the team. Seated immediately in a bright courtyard area, service and food could not have been better. Beautiful fresh oysters followed by thick and creamy seafood chowder and fresh baked wheaten bread - all delicious. A fabulous lunch in a wonderful pub / restaurant- our only regret is that we didn’t return for dinner!
