Nonna Nenne' in Dundalk

We went in on Friday to get a pizza takeaway and went back on Saturday for lunch. Enough said I think.

This place feels like a regular cafe when you first enter. But make no mistake, this restaurant is a hidden gem. When you taste their food it feels like you have left wintry Dundalk and are sitting in a small Italian village drinking the local wine and tasting dishes that have been lovingly passed down through the generations. An absolute treat and very well priced.

The most authentic Italian food I’ve had since being in Ireland! The bruschetta was lovely, the pasta was fresh and flavorful, and the cannolis were so good we couldn’t stop at just one!! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area :)

Probably some of the best Italian food I have ever had - the pasta was incredibly fresh and you could tell they only use the best ingredients. Excellent and friendly service to go along with it. Would highly recommend a visit!

Went here yesterday for Sunday lunch. Was greeted by a lovely Italian lady that answered all our questions. The prosciutto and mozzarella as well as the bruschetta mista were delicious and kept both spicy and nonspicy palates very happy. The linguini with seafood was to die for, my tagliatelle bolognese was divine and my sons diavola pizza was amazing. The service was incredibly friendly and fast. They also have all types of San Pellegrino, try the Lemon and Mint it was very refreshing. We are delighted to have such a lovely authentic Italian restaurant near us tucked away in a little corner of Dundalk. The prices were also very good for the quality of food served. If you are looking for authentic and delicious Italian cuisine, this is the spot for you. This has now become my favourite Italian restaurant! We will be back!
