Arguably the best restaurant in Carrick-on-Shannon. We made a reservation however there was space for walk ins. The food and service is outstanding, well presented main courses and a selection of freshly made desserts.

Chicken wings and pan seared hake were divine. Atmosphere was mellow with great live acoustic guitar music even on a Tuesday night. Highly recommend if in the area!

Went for a birthday celebration. Being Scots living in Ireland we were thrilled to hear Wild Mountain Tyme being played on a classic guitar (my wife thought I'd arranged it). Food & service were great and the guitar music in the background is lovely. So nice to hear familiar Scottish tunes being played very professionally. Thanks to you all for a lovely evening. We hope to be back.

We had a Delicious dinner with Fabulous service throughout. Jacinta was amazing with particular attention to detail. 4 extra spoons so that our non-dessert eating guest could try all of our puddings when he expressed a joking intention to do this. He thoroughly enjoyed them all too! Especially the bread and butter ice cream. And the classical guitarist John was incredible. Such a talented musician. We’ll look forward to our next evening out there.

Was excited to be booked into The Oasman, because of the Michelin Guide listing. It would be an understatement to say I was underwhelmed. Service from the waiting staff was excellent, surroundings and atmosphere great. The food though was overcooked, both starter and main course. I know I should have said something. I didn't, but I shouldn't have to...won't rush back.

09/01/2026: No word of a lie one of the best pizza i've ever had . The dough they use is unreal. It's clear this place only uses the freshest ingredients. Also all the staff are incredibly kind and friendly . Would highly recommend this place when visiting Carrick On Shannon.
04/01/2026: Very cozy restaurant with delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. I would especially like to thank the staff for their kindness and understanding 💛 I forgot to mention my basil allergy in advance, but they were incredibly caring and changed the dishes for me without any problem. Everything was handled so calmly and warmly, with genuine concern. We left with only positive impressions

02/02/2026: ​We had an absolutely fantastic time at Buffalo Boy in Carrick-on-Shannon, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was spot on—warm, inviting, and exactly what you want from a top-tier steakhouse and BBQ joint. ​The food was incredible (ribs were very good), but what really made the night very special was the world-class service. Every member of the team was friendly and attentive, but we have to give a massive shout-out to the lovely Mary. ​Mary looked after us for the evening and she was simply brilliant. She was so professional, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect. It’s rare to find service that feels both so seamless and so genuine. ​If you’re in Carrick, check out the top class Buffalo Boy. Lovely food and great vibes.
