My second time there to eat. Very friendly and relaxed. Good food, pleasant and attentive staff, genuine atmosphere, no airs or graces. Great for a good meal if travelling or doing business in Carrick.

Food was very nice, burger was one of the nicest I’ve had, staff were very polite and friendly and the atmosphere was lovely, I also never liked treacle bread until I tried it here

OMG! I've lived here 5 years. Why haven't I seen this gem?? We walked in and there was live music (a classical guitarist). I would go back just for that! Then came the starters. Mwah!! If go back just for that. Then came the main course ... I could go on. DEFINITELY worth multiple visits

Very enjoyable! To my recollection the best pub food I’ve ever had (UK and Ireland). Chowder was out of the ordinary. Steak was perfect!Service was great. Good selection of beers. Relaxing vibe. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

10/03/2026: Ordered for takeaway, disappointed. Food wasn’t terrible but for the price it was disappointing. Calamari was stogy and felt like it wasn’t deep fried for long enough, bater was soft and not crispy. Mains were ok though the pasta was very soft, sauce was a little runny but tasted ok. It felt like nothing was made fresh, like it was reheated. I’m sure when you eat in the restaurant its of much higher quality, but that experience didn’t transfer to takeaway.
