O'Carrolls Cakes in Killarney

Still dreaming of our delicious Chocolate Guinness cake from our wedding… Gary was a pleasure to work with and even designed the cake to match the flowers on my dress. The cake was moist and the buttercream was not too sweet, just perfect. Setup was seamless and the cake was ready in our ballroom by the time we arrived for dinner. Highly recommend!

O’Carroll’s Bakery came through for us on short notice with the most delicious vegan cupcakes. My daughter was thrilled to have a safe, egg-free treat for her granddad’s birthday. Wonderful service and amazing cupcakes—we’ll definitely be back!

We ordered chocolate fudge and lemon drizzle cakes, and the process from ordering to paying was seamless. Gary delivered right on time and exactly as promised. Both cakes were moist, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Guests kept commenting on how delicious they were, and there wasn’t a single slice left by the end.

We really hit the jackpot when choosing Gary to bake and beautifully create our wedding cake. From our very first conversation with Gary, nothing was a problem. He was very contactable, and with that he was always honest, helpful and happy to help. We chose a wedding cake design that wouldn't be the best when working with buttercream cakes... And warm Irish weather. Gary was simply brilliant, even allowing my aunt to call in to visit him to. As for the cake itself - Divine. Delicious. We chose a coconut sponge, with a raspberry and passionfruit filling as our top tier, and an orange chocolate biscuit cake as our bottom tier. I'm only sorry that we didn't order a bigger cake so that I could have eaten more!! Gary's cakes are without doubt, the best. He is seriously talented. So many of our guests and family complimented the cakes on the day, and there was very little left on any of the sharing plates. I have loved working with Gary in the run into my wedding, and I will be making it my business to order more of his cakes in the future - they are worth the trip! Gary was a dream to work with. With two days to go before our wedding we had a disaster and were faced with having no cake at our wedding. We got in touch with Gary who could not have been nicer to us. He was calm and immediately sprung into action. Our cake was delivered not 24 hours after we called him.
