A must visit bar in Ballyvaughan village on the Wild Atlantic Way. Famous for its whiskey but also excellent for cocktails & other drinks. The owner Margaret is a fountain of local information. Chat to the locals here they are very friendly.

Margret is a superstar, great cozy pub, lovely character to it. 6th generation family pub and it’s thriving, hopefully Margret’s daughter can fill her boots 😂. Gave us a brilliant Irish coffee making demo and had some great chats. Best bar in Clare hands down 🙌

Cozy but very small pub. Nice hostess. It's a pity that work starts a little late. There is a nice patio overlooking the bay. I would like to sit in it during the day and drink beer. You can sit, but you can’t drink. The pub is closed during the day.

30/09/2025: We ate at the hotel pub yesterday. Unassuming, but absolutely recommended. We had the curry and fish & chips. Both were very, very tasty. Thank you very much. 🙂

15/11/2025: Beautiful restaurant with the most amazing views. Wonderful atmosphere with excellent staff. Fabulous menu with excellent wine choices. We look forward to returning when next home in Ireland. Continued success with all that you do.
10/11/2025: 16 friends stayed for the weekend of 8.11.25,omg fantastic in every way staff, food, accommodation, sea swim, hike, friendly, just fantastic in every way, the staff couldn't do enough for us.
