O'Loclainn's Irish Whiskey Bar in Ballyvaughan

Friendliest bartender ever I had.

A cozy whiskey bar. Margaret is a cheerful and knowledgeable lass, and runs a class bar. She treated us as wonderfully, and was very engaged. Local bus driver Oscar was great craic too.

Absolutely loved this place! Highly recommend a visit and drink.

The best authentic bar in Ireland

One of the best places to drink that I have ever been to. The place was well taken care of, great atmosphere, the drinks were all well prepared and presented by the owner. Who also created a great place to socialize. Probably the best Irish coffee I've had too.

Margaret is easily the most impressive Publican in Ireland! She had complete control of her bar on a busy Sunday evening all on her own, pouring drinks for regulars as they walked in the door, all whilst making Irish Coffees and some cocktails for tourists. And she always has time to stop, chat and have the craic. A fantastic selection of whiskeys and a cosy space to boot; this is the best bar in Clare, hands down.

Well we came to experience the Irish hospitality and we certainly found it here. Margaret is busting with personality and welcomes you with open arms. The Guinness was the best we have tasted, although not sure I needed so much to confirm that! We settled in to the corner to observe the shenanigans of the local community and got talking to J&J who shared their adventures of travelling across the globe in their van. Margaret made an amazing cocktail. The Irish coffee was the best we had while in Ireland. Ballyvaughan was the smallest town we visited and was our favorite - mostly because of our experience here! Such a cozy pub.

This has to be on of the gems of Ireland - always a treat. Possibly the best whisky pub in Ireland!
