Best seafood restaurant in Ireland, with one of the most incredible views. Positioned between a fish factory and pier, The Point is ideally located to get the freshest of produce. Pints and food are delicious. Recommend getting here early as there are no bookings available, but you can enjoy a drink while you wait. It’s worth it.

EJ and the staff were fantastic! The place was absolutely buzzing right at open so suggest getting there earlier for a seat. However, waiting and taking in the authenticity of the restaurant is an absolute must! From the monkfish to the freshers to the seafood platter everything was better than expected!

Had a truly exceptional meal last night in the Point Seafood Bar last night. I had the prawns and my friends, the Roman Style Hake. The food was simply sublime. Added to that the atmosphere is exceptional and the staff were incredible, including the host EJ O'Neill, chatting and making us feel very welcome. Garry, Red and Lorna

One of my favourite spots in all of Ireland! It’s unreal. The food, simple, fresh, absolute quality, the atmosphere is perfect too. Then with EJ and the crew being the cherry on top, creating something very special indeed. Open crab sandwich is honestly best I’ve ever had. And the oysters couldn’t be more local. That with a pint of Guinness and an Irish coffee, and I’m in my happy place.

Belleek Castle

17/04/2025: I was so lucky to receive a tour of the castle hotel! Carol was incredibly knowledgeable and we talked informally for an hour about Irish history as it related to the Knox-Gore Family and their residence over time including during the Great Famine and after their departure (i.e., the tuberculosis sanatorium, military barracks, and ultimately hotel, venue, and museum). After our insightful conversation, she took me on a tour of Marshall Doran’s exceptionally eclectic collections including geology, Irish history, and weaponry. I loved being able to feel the weight of the weapons from the medieval period and seeing an executioner’s sword limited to use for beheading gentlemen was quite the education!
16/04/2025: We had a great experience. Beautiful walks in the castle's ground. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Would go back tomorrow if I could.
