Phenomenal staff! Food was great and the room was super spacious and comfy! Just for my Americans, there are no top sheets on the beds but we requested an extra sheet and it was perfect!

Popped in for breakfast, food very tasty, great price for fresh produce, staff very professional. Would recommend The Talbot hotel to anyone visiting the area. Will return again soon . Thank you all.

From moment we walked in we were greeted by David, room wasn’t ready as we were early but he kindly took our bags and called us when ready, staff were amazing, so friendly and polite, we will definitely be back.👏👏👏

Fabulous stay. David & Aoife were so nice, welcoming & helpful in every way. I’ll be back again ( next week! ) .. I only stay at Talbot when working in Cork. Thanks again Kenny Syder

The Briar Rose Bar & Grill

13/10/2025: I just want to write a review about what a fantastic experience we had at our recent event. From the first initial booking of our engagement party with Abbie and organising and swapping dates for me without hesitation. Abbie was so helpful and accommodating. To the kindness and generosity of the manager on shift on the night - Mike. All our guests were raving about what a fantastic night it was and how beautiful the function room was. The food was amazing and plentiful. I wouldn’t hesitate to have another event in The Briar Rose in the future. 5 stars across the board. A special thanks again to Abbie & Mike. From Emer & Cian.
18/09/2025: Wonderful place with variety of seating options and cusines to suit your needs. Great quality and quantity of food with reasonable prices and reccomended for evenings where you would love to watch a game on a huge screen with friends and family
