Oriel Hotel in Cork

I stayed at this hotel for one night on a business trip to Ireland. The location is not very convenient if you want to visit the city, needs a vehicle to move, but for a business trip I found it very convenient: quiet, free parking and equipped with the necessary services to work in the room. The rooms are very large, functional and equipped with many comforts, a technological upgrade could be something that should be considered (as usb sockets). There is also the gym and swimming pool, but I could not use it staying for a short time. Good breakfast, the addition of handmade products could be an added value. Great staff, very friendly and smiling that gives that touch of family to the hotel. Recommended for a business trip, less for tourism.

Clean rooms, helpful staff and in central Ballincollig

This was a great hotel to stop in for our time in cork. Rooms were comfortable and clean enough. The leisure centre and gym facilities totally make this place great value for money (gym basement 1; sauna, steam room, hot tub, lap pool on basement 2). That plus the free parking for the hire car made this a must stay! Would definitely come back!

Had our wedding there on sat ..staff could not have done anymore to help ..Looked after us from start to finish..Guests were also very happy..Food was great would recommend for any occasion..Thanks for lovely weekend x

I stayed with the Talbot Hotel, Cork with my partner on the 1st March- 2nd March and we had a good time here. We even got an upgrade for our room. The hotel has a gym and a fitness centre with all the basic amenities there, though my partner loved the hot-tub and sauna. Both of us being vegetarians, were a lil worried about the food, but to our delight, the food was lovely, specially the dinner. Overall a good experience.

Quiet on a Thursday lunchtime. Food wraps, panini, etc. Quick on the go food.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Talbot Hotel in Cork with my family, and I must say, we had a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the family-friendly amenities. The kids loved the pool area, which was clean and had a lovely atmosphere. It was a great way for us to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Additionally, the on-site restaurant offered a delicious menu with plenty of options for all tastes, making family meals a delightful experience. Excellent swimming pool, never busy. Very helpful staff.

Rooms brand new and good quality, cleaned daily to a high standard. Breakfast poorly managed. 0745am breakfast with about 10 guests, and limited buffet options - only able to have a fried egg and 2 slices of bacon from the fry options. Dinner experience - very poor. On Tuesday 21st January, I waited to be seated and was approached by the manager who asked me for my room number. After giving my room number he proceeded to ask me how I pronounced my name, which is very easily pronounced by the way. I believe this was done to check if i actually had a room in the hotel. Not to worry - I was then seated, however was left waiting for 20 minutes and nobody approached me to take a food or drink order. I then decided to leave and get a mcdonalds - happy out. Otherwise great hotel setting and nice convenient town in Cork.
