Today was a lovely day spent with the family at Barry island, sunny warm day 16C, and surprisingly the price of the Cod & Chips was on the steep side of £12, so I purchased 5 lots at £60, but the quality of food was excellent. Everything was fresh, the chips were fluffy and the cod was fresh with a beautiful crispy batter coating. I was overwhelmed and surprised at the same time to see 5 teenager girls working behind the counter today running the business like clockwork, and worked like an well oiled cog machine. Small batches of chips were thrown into the oil every so often to obtain freshness and orders were flying in via the touch screen to pay via card. An excellent example of teamwork I have witnessed today, that would beat other businesses in the same trade to shame. The key is to keep things simple, by not making the menu so complicated, keeping it consistent and maintaining quality. I would of preferred the malt vinegar to taste a bit stronger, and get an extra pair of hands just to give the rest of the restaurant a wipe down during busy periods!
Overall excellent 👌. Keep up the hard work ladies, you all are professionals in the making.

Stayed in Dunmore East for the weekend with the Family. I had heard about O’Sheas Fish & Chips from a local. I had the fresh Cod & Chips. The others had a mix of things including the Scampi, smash burgers etc. Everything was soooo fresh and delicious. The scampi was to die for so was the battered cod. Their homemade tartar was fab too. Thanks soo much.

We were walking along the beach this afternoon after the sun was beating down all day and decided to try this place as the locals said it was a great place for a bite to eat,
We kept it simple and went for a smash burger and then the classic fish and chips , there must have been 40-50 people around the time we decided to go but we were only waiting about ten minutes and the locals were not wrong , fish and chips were absolutely gorgeous and the smash burger was delicious, I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in dunmore east !

Amazing! Curry sauce is possibly the best tried (my wife’s words) and the Cod bite and chips were perfect 🤩

If you're looking for that traditional takeaway of fish & chips, at the seaside, O'Shea's at Barry Island is a great place to visit.
The food is freshly prepared and is a perfect meal for a day out at the beach.

The best fish and chips I've ever had - and I'm in my fifties!
Fresh, light crispy batter and wonderful chips cooked in obviously spotless oil- and cheaper than here in the midlands. Huge portion.
Eaten on the wall looking at the beach 'Gavin and Stacey' style.
Thank you to the friendly staff, calm and happy even on a very busy Saturday.

Fab location on the sea front.
Massive queues, you queue once to order then again to collect the food.
However, I think there must be new owners, the food is just average now, it used to be amazing.
The service is a bit shambolic, seems to be run by youngsters who aren’t sure what they’re doing and it wasn’t that busy.
The fish was ready ages before the chips, so they’re all stood there with the box open with the fish getting cold waiting for the chips to be done.
There were no fish bites as they’d run out.
They’ll do a trade because of their location but it’s gone downhill and wouldn’t go back.
