O'Shea's Fish & Chips in Dunmore east

We stopped by O’Shea’s in Barry for an early lunch and had a great experience. There was no queue when we arrived, we received a warm welcome from the staff, and ordering was quick and easy. Less than five minutes later, our food was ready. We ordered the large box meals and the portions certainly lived up to the name! Everything was freshly cooked and piping hot. The chips were crispy without being greasy, and my chicken and mushroom pie was delicious – creamy filling, a crisp pastry lid, and a perfectly cooked case. The restaurant was clean, they accept card payments, and the overall service was excellent. We paid £38 for three large box meals (one of those being a large cod & chips), a bottle of Coke, two cans of drink, a pot of tartare sauce and a pot of curry. It’s probably a little more expensive than some local chip shops, but for a seafront location in Barry, we thought the prices were fair. Overall, a very enjoyable lunch and we’ll definitely be back.

Best chippy chips I've ever had! Food was absolutely stunning, staff member was absolutely lovely and so friendly and smiley, and service was instant. 10/10 would recommend, best chippy on Barry seafront!

Great staff. I tried the chips and chicken balls in curry sauce. All way great.

Very busy but the girls were happy to take my order and I could pay cash opposed to using the touchscreen to order and the fish and chips were a good size portion and very nice batter and fish was excellent. My partner has sausage in batter with the chips and said very nice too

Banging fish and chips recommend to everyone first time trying it and curry sauce is lovely too

Popped in on a whim as i found myself in Barry for a night. Friendly service, good prices, fish cooked fresh to order which i always love (nothing worse than it having sat in the hot cupboard all day). Portion size was fantastic, fish was fresh and flaky, batter was perfect, and chips golden. A super evening spent on the beach, would thoroughly reccomend.

absoloutely fantastic, theyre chips were cripsy, and the cod was heavily battered and also crispy. Defo reccomend if you like that sort of fish and chips

Great service and food great quality and price

These fish and chips were delicious but did cost £12 for one portion. The queue was very long but it was worth the wait for the taste. The portion was big enough to share.

Lovely chips, but does get very busy when the weather is nice.
