Osteria Italiana Da Simone in Galway

Had a lovely meal last week at Osteria da Simone. The starters were all delicious. I would really recommend getting the arancini it was really tasty! Didn’t take any photos of the mains but they were also delicious. Would definitely like to come back when visiting again:)

I had a really nice experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I had the carbonara and the food was very tasty, and well presented. Service was quick, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Overall, it was a great visit, and I’d happily come back again!

Can't believe this place rated 4.7 stars. Their food was just okay. Tasted like frozen Italian food in the U.S.

Great experience at Osteria da Simone! We were two people and started with the Antipasto dell’Osteria, a fantastic platter of Italian ham and cheeses. For mains, we had the penne al salmone and tagliatelle frutti di mare, both full of authentic Italian flavour and very generous portions. We finished with a lovely tiramisu. The staff were really friendly. Even though our booking wasn’t in their system, I showed the confirmation email and the waitress was very accommodating: we were seated right away with no wait. You can really taste the Italian here. Definitely will go back next time I’m in Galway!

I had dinner one evening at this restaurant. I had pasta and it was very good. The service was excellent, especially the Italian woman who was always very attentive.

Unbelievable, the tiramisu was the best one I have ever had in my life. And I’ve eaten lot of them. Service was good waiters seemed pretty busy place was full on a Monday night.

We were in the mood for pizza. This place had some really good pizza.

Perhaps I ordered wrong. The pasta dishes looked great, however, I ordered a pizza that was kinda unremarkable. Appetizer - Garlic pizza bread with cheese, wasnt large enough to share with my family of four. As I mentioned, my ham and mushroom pizza was meh. Very wet without any crispness to the toppings. The ham topping wasn't chopped into small bits but rather full slices of thin-sliced sandwich ham. Mushrooms were similar to canned mushrooms. My partner's lasagna was good, but felt a little undersized for the price. The food came out of the kitchen in a reasonable to quick timeframe. The full dinning room was loud but obnoxiously so. In short, if I had a time machine, I'd go back and select a different restaurant for dinner.

Highly recommend food this place the food is delicious ,staff are so pleasant and helped recommend dishes to suit our taste. Lovely atmosphere so will defo be back.
