Paris Texas Bar & Smokehouse in Kilkenny

Was told there would be a 25-minute wait but we told them we would wait. It was nowhere near that long of a wait and when we got in, it was clear that they were just spacing out the entries. We got the veggie fajitas and the smoky burger. The frizzled onions were very tasty. My order was mixed up which resulted in me getting my food when the person with me had finished theirs but otherwise decent pub grub style food with large portions. Probably a better atmosphere at night time.

Very nice but sadly, the open area at the back (where you can smoke), is closed during the day so we had to sit out on the street which wasn't very comfortable

Went out with friends to here recently and the starters and mains were delicious! Service was quick and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ultimately, the disappointment outweighs the disappointment. The lady who assigned us the seat apparently didn't have the best day. Unfortunately not very friendly, which we only experience very rarely. The rest of the team, however, is the opposite. My burger was good so far. Unfortunately, the vegetarian burger is not recommended. Too over-seasoned or salted and the patty will completely fall apart. Unfortunately it doesn't look good on the plate. The bar itself is a real eye-catcher. Very nice when you come in.

Place with a good atmosphere and excellent service. The menu is good, although it is true that the food in this country is different.

Good atmosphere, great cocktails. Live music is always a bonus.

I really hate leaving negative-ish reviews but this has to be done it was our wedding anniversary the weekend and said we would try here for food. ive been here before and the food as far as I could recall was decent had the usual "30 minutes" to wait but it was much longer unfortunately. we didnt feel it however with the great Guinness and atmosphere in the bar area. my wife ordered nachos. the nacho chips them selves were not salted - tasted like dry pieces of cardboard, and the chilli was sweet ? like overly sweet. Chilli is not supposed to be sweat I dont care what anyone says. avocado that was on there , I assume was supposed to be some kind of guac but it was literally plain avocado . All in all Id give her dish a solid 2 out of 10. presentation was even lacklustre. I had a fried chicken dish. that was supposed to come with 2 "sides" side 1 : corn on the cob. literally slapped onto the plate , no butter or salt and pepper on the corn to give it some kind of appeal side 2 : was a a potato rostie type thing. if anyone is looking for oil to heat the house for the winter order a few of these there was enough oil on it to heat a small town desert was a disaster. My wife had an orange sponge cake. I literally dont know what kind of syrup they added to it but it was so orangey it was unpleasant. it was like they had taken a bottle of orange extract and literally saturated the sponge with it . 3/10 I ordered a fried ice cream pancake type thing . I had envisaged a hot pancake with half melted Ice cream inside but what I got was a cold pancake swimming in liquid remains of ice cream (and it seemed really oily?) Guiness 9.5 / 10 double espresso - 10/10 would put hair on the palm of your hand. whiskey sours - 10/10 staff 10/10 food id be reluctant to give over 3/10 I wont be returning to Paris Texas again im sorry to say . Llegamos a Kilkenny al mediodía y buscando un lugar donde almorzar, nos encontramos con este bar pero que atrás tiene un restaurante con un patio muy agradable. Pedimos unas ensaladas que estaban buenísimas y eran super abundantes

Appena arrivati nella cittadina abbiamo scelto a "naso" la location per cenare. Caratteristico pub, inizialmente pensavamo di aver sbagliato ad entrare perchè tutti i presenti stavano bevendo birra invece continuando ad addentrarci nel locale le ultime sale sono per cenare. Carne molto buona ma anche i gamberoni non male. Decisamente sorpresi dalla tart tatin che era buona. Il personale molto cortese e ben preparato.
