The premises were beautiful, the food spectacular but the best part was the wonderful and professional service from Sabrina, Suzy and the rest of the staff. We celebrated my mom's 75th and couldn't have picked a better spot. Highly recommend!!

We requested a Vegan tasting menu ahead of time, and they did not disappoint. While some dishes were also available on the regular menu, others were created specifically for our night. The hostess, our waitress, and even the gentleman working the bar were all great conversationalists and helped enhance the experience. The attention to detail was 2nd to none, and we hope they continue exploring the possibilities of Vegan cuisine in the future.

I had waited far too long to revisit Pearl Brasserie, a mistake I won't repeat. From beginning to end, it was an exceptional experience; both the service and the food were remarkable. The cuisine blends French techniques with Asian influences. The Bluefin tuna exemplifies this; every bite, bursting with flavours, was exquisite. I was delighted to have the pigeon again, and it truly met my expectations. This dish will remain in my thoughts for a long time. I look forward to my return.

Down a flight of steps from the street entrance. Looks like they get a lot of group/business dinners. Lots of hard surfaces all over so sound is amplified and reverberating. That makes it difficult to hear your dining partners. Food was good, though the prawn starter was just ok. Wine should have been decanted earlier, so it was a bit rough to start.

Chez Max

19/08/2025: Lovely surprise in Dublin. Don’t expect high cuisine but just lovely French bistro food, large portions for fair prices. Staff is friendly. They work hard yet remain friendly.
17/08/2025: An unforgettable dining experience at Chez Max! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of charm. The service was absolutely phenomenal—our waitress, Paola, went above and beyond to make the evening special. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about helping us choose the perfect dishes and wine pairing. I’m usually a steak-and-potatoes guy, but on Paola’s recommendation I stepped out of my comfort zone—and I’m so glad I did. I started with the mussels, followed by the pork belly, and both were nothing short of spectacular. The mussels were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The pork belly was tender, beautifully presented, and layered with rich, complex flavors that were simply magnificent. My wife ordered the escargot to start and the chicken as her main. The escargot was delicate and delicious, while the chicken was juicy, full of flavor, and one of the best she’s ever had. Every plate that came to the table was a work of art—presentation and taste were equally outstanding. Paired with a smooth bottle of Côtes du Rhône red wine, the meal was absolute perfection. Chez Max is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Between the cozy Parisian atmosphere, the impeccable service, and the unforgettable food, this is easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. A true gem in Dublin! Highly recommend—and a big thank you to Paola for making our night so memorable.
