Great food and great atmosphere, reservation is a definite recommendation as its a popular place

I had the privilege of stopping by this atmospheric and welcoming restaurant last night. There were only pluses and pluses to be found. From the incredibly friendly staff, the lovely and humorous kitchen staff that I got to speak with, and very passionate and accommodating management, it was a phenomonal time. I stopped in for coffee and dessert, and I was not disappointed! I will be back soon to sample the very expansive and appealing menu!

The restaurant was packed, we hadn't booked a table but we got a great outside table which was even better. Gluten free food was great and service was excellent. We're lucky to have great restaurants in maynooth, I'd recommend picadeors

Really nice lunch, exceptional value for money. Staff could not have been nicer, so welcoming and professional. It was quiet when we were there, but the ambiance was warm and festive. I'm really looking forward to coming back for dinner soon.

First timers here and meeting place for an overdue friend catch up on a Sunday at 1pm. 2 out of 3 of our party opted for the early bird starter and main course for €28.50. I had the prawn skewers to start and chicken and chorizo paella which I was very satisfied with. One amiga also had the prawn skewers to start followed by Spanish ‘Albóndigas’ Meatballs with Patatas Bravas. The other amiga chose the combination Spanish Tapas Platter at €19.50 which comprised of Marinated Chicken ‘Pincho’ Skewers, Catalán Style Plum Tomato Bread, Spicy Patatas ‘Bravas’, homemade Spicy Tomato Meatballs, Olives & Mixed Salad. We were all happy with our lot. All were very good portions and we were all happy with our orders. We ordered 2 soda water and limes and 3 Americanos to wash everything down. The bill for the 3 of us came to just over 100 euro which I thought was reasonable. Staff were pleasant and we enjoyed the relaxed vibe here. We were not rushed at all which suited our long overdue rendezvous!

Last night we had another great family meal at Picaderos. Great food, brilliant pleasant staff, great atmosphere.

We are very happy with the service and booking experience at Picaderos, so 5 stars there. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. We were only there for mains, so cannot comment on starters or dessert. The lamb shank was very good with a big, bold, sauce that was borderline over-reduced and almost overpowered everything else on the plate. Almost. It was enjoyable overall. The other dish that we ordered, unfortunately, was not up to standard. The chicken breast was dried out, but was saved by the sauce. We were in a hurry so did not hand it back. In fairness, given the excellent service, we fully expect that it would have been replaced without issue, hence the 4 stars.

The food was delicious, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great. Definitely a restaurant I'll be back to. Highly recommend the platters for sharing.
