Picaderos in Maynooth

Place is small but nice. Have been a few times and always seem to find something different to try or sample.

Gorgeous food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff, though knocked 1 star because several times they were overzealous reaching over, around or between the two of us mid conversation when they could/should have gone to the other side of the table. Would definitely go back!

As we are talking about a specifically Spanish restaurant located in Ireland, I found that the atmosphere perfectly combines both cultures, very welcoming and relaxing and, last but not least, with good food.

Great atmosphere, the food was excellent and the service was every bit as good. Definitely worth a visit. And most definitely worth a revisit.

Another lovely evening, food was top class as always. We had some of the smoked whiskey Christmas drinks which were lovely. Staff are always very helpful and friendly. Great value for money also i taught, will definitely be back 😊

Always delicious food here. I had the sea bass most recently. Very tasty! 3 courses for €55 is good value.

We are very happy with the service and booking experience at Picaderos, so 5 stars there. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. We were only there for mains, so cannot comment on starters or dessert. The lamb shank was very good with a big, bold, sauce that was borderline over-reduced and almost overpowered everything else on the plate. Almost. It was enjoyable overall. The other dish that we ordered, unfortunately, was not up to standard. The chicken breast was dried out, but was saved by the sauce. We were in a hurry so did not hand it back. In fairness, given the excellent service, we fully expect that it would have been replaced without issue, hence the 4 stars.

We had a birthday lunch for our daughter who was 21 yesterday. A dozen of us. The service and quality plus quantity of the food was absolutely brilliant, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone. Will be back in a couple of weeks
