Pig's Ear in Dublin

We had very enjoyable and extremely tasty meal at The Pig’s Ear. The menu is a real adventure with our favourites being the Lamb Barnsley Chops, the Jammet’s Mixed Grill, the Bitterballen and the Violets & Roses Blancmange. All with a modern twist but the bones are very Irish. Service and chats were great, glasses of wine generous, and a wonderful window view to boot.

The appetizers and main course were really delicious. The desserts were not very tasty and came out like vomit. The service was good, I recommend it.

Service is impeccable. Staff was a bit grim for my liking but very professional and patient which I appreciated. Food is decent and did not blow me away. Mains are all unique and unexpected (nothing familiar to a casual diner) so if you've never been there you may feel like you're taking a risk and can't fall back on tried and true favorites like steak, fries, etc. Some in our group loved the sense of adventure. I was hungry so didn't. But, if you take one piece of feedback, please hear me out: The rice pudding. It tasted nice but the presentation... Oh my. It was served on a plate. Flat. So you get a plate with greyish lumpy goo that looks like it was slopped there by someone that deeply resents you. There's a reason rice pudding is always served in a bowl (I found that day). I will spare you the various analogies that my friends made about what it looked like. Treat for the palate but not for the eyes or the imagination.

It’s the night before your best friends wedding and you’re trying to find the perfect spot for dinner. There’s a myriad of different tastes and food restrictions. It is, quite frankly, a nightmare to find the perfect spot that’s going to appease and please everyone……. And then you book The Pig’s Ear. There’s back with a bang and then there’s this place. What Stephen, Andrea and the team have done here is nothing short of excellence. I can’t list dishes because I couldn’t possibly pick a favourite. Truly stunning food, warm and welcoming service, a wonderful wine list and just an overall joy. Thank you so, so much for making our night so special. And Eoghan, you were right in all things!

Chicken pie with salad is delicious. The greens are perfect to cut through the richness of the pastry. Skip the cabbage and the rye bread — not worth it. The marrow dipping sauce is incredible and should be poured in everything. EVERYTHING

i came here because the font reminded me of persona… and the stairs leading up to the place felt so casual so i wasn’t really thinking when i walked in because i somehow didn’t see the two big red circles saying MICHELIN on the front door so i was met with a hefty price. 😭😭 me and my friend were the only customers in the place at the time so it felt rude to just leave so we ended up eating there. we ordered some mango sorbet and expensive ahh water but it was good. honestly i wish it was bad so i could regret it a little more because two small balls of jaundice looking mango sorbet for €12 shouldn’t taste as good as it did. will i ever come here again? no. to be honest, when i sat down, i could already feel myself getting poorer💔. this is super fancy and the atmosphere is so nice, but the logo felt kind of misleading because i wouldn’t expect such a casual logo to lead to a michelin restaurant. if you have the money for this i say go for it but if you’re a broke student like me save your money and go to gino’s. i lowk felt pretty judged when i sat down and only ordered ice cream which is fair considering the type of place this is. this place definitely gave persona though so i don’t regret it that much. lovely place to chat when there’s nobody around but the price breaks my heart 💔

Had an anniversary dinner here last night and we really enjoyed ourselves! We particularly liked the miso black cod which was delicious. It was fairly quiet since it was a Tuesday but the staff were attentive without being overbearing and we had a lovely window seat! The music was really good and even the cheapest wine on the menu was delish. Would love to go back :) Also would recommend the tuna starter

Recientemente cambió el concepto a cocina irlandesa con fusión asiática, Qué joya. Vieira para empezar a morir por, sarro de ternera increíble, bacalao glaseado en miso era impresionante, así era el vientre de cerdo, crepé de postre era divino el sorbete de mango con sake de té verde impresionante . . el lugar estará esperando pronto . . llegar allí antes de que sea difícil conseguir una mesa

Primera vez en el nuevo restaurante (Lotus Eaters). Cálida bienvenida y personal atento. Tenía el entrante de vieira - una vieira en una salsa de maní - delicioso. Ambos fuimos por la hamburguesa Waygu con arroz que parecía una combinación extraña. Sin embargo, todos los condimentos que acompañaban funcionaban muy bien y era muy agradable. Los postres eran arroz con leche y un crepé. Una copa de vino de postre y una botella de vino de Manduri durante la cena. Fue una experiencia encantadora y volveríamos a ir de nuevo.
