I could get no room in the shearwater hotel, they recommend pillar house bar to me, I just wanted a bed to sleep in, nothing fancy. It's in the town , and a few steps down from the pub itself. Absolutely did the job for me, the bed is massive and ensuite small but it's only me. 50 euro for the night no breakfast, that's grand And no hurry up in the morning.

22/10/2025: Favourite spot. Always great experience. Brunch, dinner or night out. Drinks, food, service, always excellent. Staff amazing and very helpful. Nice cosy place with homely feeling. Downstairs party room opened on weekends. Live music and always good time. Recommended.
11/10/2025: In the heart of this small Irish town, I found this beautiful place run by three young, very kind and delightful women. I ate very well, and the prices are much lower than in nearby towns. The selection of beers is as vast as ever, and the dishes are carefully prepared, plentiful, and delicious. It's worth stopping in for lunch or dinner.
