Pizzeria San Marco in Midleton

I'm going to make this place a regular of mine. What a nice find and surprise! The food is really good and I can safely say this was the nicest pizza I've tasted in years. The base, the topping just perfectly prepared and cooked. The side salad was also just right with fresh produce and a balsamic dressing. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and may have been right in his claim that Dutch people make the best pizzas! The Americano was served in a "proper" cup also and not diluted to oblivion as one finds in most restaurants. Looking forward to going back again to eat soon.

We found this little spot after we visited the Midleton Distillery, most places were closed and it was pouring rain but we were hungry. It worked out great the food was delicious and obviously all made from scratch, if you find yourself in Midleton do yourself a favor and go here for lunch/dinner.

Lovely authentic Italian pizza, The crust is light and not stodgy and not too thick. Love it here. I used to live in Italy and this for me is one of the best pizzerias in Cork!

Great food, staff very friendly and helpful.

The service was slow but the young ladies that were serving were lovely. The food was mediocre and definitely not worth the money. It might have just been an off night as I read other reviews that said it was great. It seemed to me that they were concentrating more on the takeaways.

Staff very helpful and friendly, chef looked cool in open kitchen, pizza top notch really one of the best we ever had. Pasta portions a bit too small, it's pasta, you need to load it on a big, deep plate, trow some parmigiano on the side and fresh basil on top, ask any Italian. 😁 Bruschetta starter-ditch the sweet onion guys, or add a bit of buffalo mozzarella or feta to it. And it should be either marked on the menu or mentioned by the staff that spicy prawn pasta is like super spicy 🔥, my son who otherwise really likes spicy couldn't eat it. I finished it and it was extra fiery. Chairs unbelievably uncomfortable, you need to find a pose so you're able to eat. A bit of touch on the interior would up your visits, trust me. Prices on website, menu and bill, they don't match 😵‍💫 But all in all black girl with long braids and lovely smile was so professional and kind, food came out promptly, drinks even faster, and if you're looking for a really good pizza this is the place, nothing beats a good brick oven and this place has it. And coming from someone 20 years+ in the industry, with this kind of pizzas you could do much more. Good luck! 👍🏻

I would recommend it, they make the pizzas in front of you in a stone oven. I've dined there a couple of times and find the pizza dough quite heavy on the stomach, maybe the gluten-free option is better, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet. Even so, the flavor is delicious. It is noticeable that the ingredients are fresh. The staff is very friendly. The tables are a little too close together. I really like the interior decoration of the place, especially the retro coffee machine.

Italian restaurant in all respects, excellent hospitality, the staff is made up of Italian guys, I discovered this restaurant during my stay in Midleton for work. Dishes and pizza worthy of being called Italian. Good quality for the price. Recommended place Greetings from Puglia to all the staff

Sam Marco is our go to place when we had a beach walk and are on our way home. I've been there many times. The pizzas are amazing. I love those with the local buffalo mozzarella. So good and fresh ingredients. The starters and Lasagne are unreal too. Even the coffee is great and I usually hate all coffees when we are out lol.
