Absolutely love this restaurant. Eaten in Poachers about 10 times over past couple of years and this place is, hands down, my favourite restaurant in the west of Ireland to visit. Everything about it....the foods, the flavours, the wines, the staff, all exceptional. The braised beef cheeks? PUT IT IN MY VEINS!
Going again this Friday, and I can't wait!

The best restaurant we visited in our three weeks in Ireland! We were here with our two children and weren't sure at first if it was a good idea to take them to a high-end restaurant. But from the start, everything worked out great. There's an excellent children's menu, crayons, and something to color in, and the waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding, almost Michelin-star quality—but still affordable. The large selection of vegetarian dishes is remarkable. The waiter gave us excellent advice on matching wines for each course; the virgin mojito was also excellent!
For anyone looking for something different than an Irish pub with burgers and pizza, this is the place for you!

Everything was exceptional.
It was the best meal I’ve had in a long time.
Staff were very passionate about the food and very attentive.
I’m looking forward to going back.
10/10 meal and not even hard to score it so high, it was all incredible. I couldn’t fault a single thing and I’m not surprised they have so many awards.

Incredible dining experience. Lovely to have a vegan / vegetarian menu in addition to the regular one. This is so rare so it’s really appreciated. I had the vegan cauliflower ‘wings’ which are actually croquettes to start - amazing my non vegan friends loved them too. Then for my main I had the sweet potato white bean feta cake - again just great flavours. Service was great and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. Will go back any chance I get

Brought my friends here and we had a lovely meal! They even have a vegetarian menu which suited them. The service was brilliant and the presentation of the food was 5 stars. I got the beef and it came with a side of vegetables. The waiters were very honest regarding portion sizes. They admitted we would have enough with what we ordered rather than ordering too much. Thank you!!

We last ate here four years ago - why did we wait so long to go back ? Superb ingredients originally cooked and served with an informality that only comes with real experience and know-how. It won’t be another four years before we return!
