Beautiful restaurant in Ballina, the fish main (pan fried John Dory with crab pudding) was exceptional and great wine selection

I highly recommend it. Wonderful atmosphere inside, great service and amazing food. Delicious bread in the form of appetizers. Very reasonable prices.

One of the best restaurants in Mayo. I've eaten all over the county and beyond, Poachers presents unique food with a west of Ireland theme. There's nothing average here. It has a balance of meat, fish and vegetarian/vegan choices, plus great wine.

Amazing meal at the Poacher Restaurant. The welcome, service and food was exceptional. Each course was delicious and the flavours were perfectly balanced without one flavour dominating another. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Staff were friendly, kind and knowledgeable and when I mentioned I had a nut allergy couldn’t be more accommodating. Looking forward to trying more dishes in this restaurant in the future.

We last ate here four years ago - why did we wait so long to go back ? Superb ingredients originally cooked and served with an informality that only comes with real experience and know-how. It won’t be another four years before we return!

It's been a while since we ate at The Poacher. It's still brilliant. Lovely, thoughtful food, great flavours and textures all beautifully presented on the plate. The front of house team were welcoming and super efficient. A true gem in this part Ireland. It was very busy.... which says it all. Highly recommended.
