I didn’t eat here so can’t rate the food but was here for jazz weekend and love this place. Great bands, awesome staff, great selection of drinks, and being located just a few minutes walk from the centre it wasn’t as packed so you had room to dance and chat. Thanks so much to Mike and the bar team!

Great Pub. Aged decor and style is the first thing that impresses you. Extensive range of local craft and IPA beers and ascending range of spirits. Even when busy it’s not that noisy so comfortable to meet with friends. Recommended !

A traditional pub in the heart of Cork City. Well worth a visit. They often have live music. I found the volume way too loud when we were there. I don't know why bands think we want our hearing to be damaged. It takes away the enjoyment of good music.

Nice old place with a trad feel, some decent local craft beers and live music (when I was there, anyhow). Far enough away from the centre to be quieter, but close enough to walk in a few minutes! Also it's a few minutes' walk from the airport bus stop which makes it a decent waiting room...

We had a great visit at the Poor Relation! The bartenders were very friendly and offered to make an offer-the-menu cocktail… it was awesome!!! Definitely a great place to visit if you’re looking for a cool pub experience in Cork!

24/10/2024: Great place to stop for a simple, light and inexpensive lunch. Tasty sandwiches, very good coffee, nice atmosphere and excellent value. Highly recommend.
