Raheen Woods Hotel in Athenry

Great location for a stopover, just off the motorway. Very comfortable room. Clean and quite big. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was great, although it was very full.

As a newly engaged couple we had no idea where to start with wedding planning, we as a couple visited a few locations near our home, it was very clear from the moment we walked in and met with Oisin the wedding Co ordinator there was nowhere else we were going to have our wedding. The staff were so friendly, the place was spotless and a real nice and cosy atmosphere. We had our ceremony and reception at the Raheen Woods and thank God we did there is not one thing we would have changed, from the setup of the ceremony room ro the quick turnaround for dinner. Nothing was to big or small to ask of, being the newly weds you would worry about the meal etc all going to plan times etc, the meal was amazing so much so some people had a second serving which we were delighted to hear. Even when we asked could we change a few things it was no problem atall and everything went so smoothly, even the serving staff were all so friendly. Even from the reservations team Lisa was a pleasure to deal with no matter what was needed. Not too many weddings you attend and the owner of the hotel is there to greet you and your guests it was so nice to meet the man behide the hotel, and also the gorgeous interior throughout the hotel alot of guests had commented on it, gorgeous colours and such a cosy vibe. We can't speak highly enough and either can any of our guests it was the perfect day in the perfect location. If you are thinking about the Raheen Woods for your wedding you won't regret it hand on our hearts. Oisin, Eileen Lisa and all the staff were so good to us and our guests we are so glad we stayed local and found a special place close by to have our special day. Mr & Mrs Farrell ♥️

Had the best experience with Mikayla, she was such a sweet heart it was her first day and handled everything with such grace considering. Will come back again.

No shower caps in Bathroom and not enough plug sockets in bedroom

Carpet in room was really dirty but the room was a good size. Bathroom very dated and the light caused the bathroom to get very hot.

Excellent location. Impeccable service. Clean, comfortable rooms. Top choice in the area. Nothing comes close.

Very nice and professional staff. Good facilities in general. Excellent piscine/spa & breakfast. The only thing is the temperature in the room (need some air sometimes) and you can hear what's going on in the room next to yours. A mini-fridge and a water fountain would be a must to have.
