Reddans of Bettystown in Laytown-bettystown-mornington

Where to start is the question? I have recently stayed here for my second break away from Dublin City which is based a short drive from this location. Reddans was absolutely magical both times we have visit. The first visit brought us a really spacious room with a cosy sleep in a superking size bed, and TV with channels in accompaniment. The style of the room was a touch of vintage with modern freshness and natural feels. Both visits were incredible stays but if your booking here, I advise to book the room with the sea view which was our decision on our second visit. No regrets as we got to experience the wonderful view of the sea as we sat in bed, and even managed to catch a bit of a sunrise too which was heartwarming to wake to. Now as far as the staff go, the service was incredible and they really made us feel welcomed and supported through our stay for any query or needs we had. Food was absolutely top knotch. We indulged in some of the nicest Guinness around, and I recommend the chicken burger meals as the chicken was succulent and full of flavor throughout at every bite. Thanks to Dave on the cooking duties, I hope I recalled your name correctly. Special thank you and applause for the wonderful bar staff especially Lorraine who was so kind and accommodating throughout our two visits. The cleaning staff do a wonderful job as the room was absolutely spotless so many thanks for the careful attention to cleanliness and personal touches. Many thanks to all, Genuine review, genuine customer, can't wait to return! I also advice to visit whilst the Christmas vibes are around as often felt so cosy and welcoming. From all our family, a huge thank you to the Reddans team and especially to Marina for creating a friendly atmosphere, for the wonderful food in the restaurant. For humanity and understanding of our family situation and approach to our child's diet. The organisation of the festive mood on our daughter's birthday, won our hearts. Compared to the other hotel we stayed in before moving to Reddans, it was like going from hell to heaven. I thank God for the weeks we spent at Reddans. Success and prosperity. Fabulous BnB/bar. I booked this because it was an easy drive to Dublin airport. Fabulous reception/bar staff. Great meal in the bar. Beautiful room with an expansive sea view. Great experience and good value. Thank you so very much 🇮🇪☘️🇦🇺

Got the 8oz steak. It was tiny. No bigger than a slice of roast beef. Staff were very good but I did feel a bit ripped off.

We stayed for one night here on route back from the North. The location is just on a beach which is beautiful to look at. We did pay a bit extra for a sea view room but we found the rooms very dated and the guest house is in need of some updating The hotel room was clean and the bed very comfortable but it's like you've stepped back in time which might be attractive to some people. The manager was friendly and check in was fast. There was a elevator to our floor and the room had a key. Room was spacy and clean with views of the sea front. The furniture and sockets were dated and the over the bath shower had a curtain that I detest! As it's the only bar in the whole of Bettystown, you really had no choice but to eat and drink there. The bar was nice, with a seating area out the front, which does not look out on the beach. We ate here too and the food was fine, nothing fantastic but edible, we didn't go down for breakfast the next morning, we had a little sleep in. Check out was 12pm and check out was just as easy and fast as check in. All in all it was a pleasant enough experience and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Always nice I often come to Reddans for a catch up over dinner or breakfast with friends and the grub is always decent. Fresh and tasty. The staff are lovely as well. Well worth a stop. The fish and chips is especially good.

Spent two nights, rooms were good and clean, bathroom was oldie world tiling which was lovely and not over stated. Large bath, great shower, need to be careful with shower curtain which could be a few inches longer. Good range of breakfast options which is freshly cooked. Had dinner in the bar one evening which was of high quality Staff were great and would definitely stay again.

Seafood chowder was AMAZING. Service was great. Good value for the money.
