5 Stars – Highly Recommend! Rios Takeaway in Portarlington is hands-down one of my favorite spots. Every meal is freshly cooked to order, and you can really taste the quality and care that goes into it. Their homemade pizza is absolutely top-notch — crispy base, generous toppings, and packed with flavor. And the battered sausages? Easily the best around. Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside — comfort food done right. What really sets Rios apart, though, is the atmosphere and the people behind the counter. This isn’t just a takeaway; it’s a place built on family values and genuine friendships. You can feel it the moment you walk in. The team always greets you with a smile, and there’s a real sense of community that makes every visit feel personal. It’s rare to find a place where the food and the people are both this good. Edited to give 5* look at my initial review, and look how lovely and accommodating they are. Great customer service! And can’t wait to order a delicious pizza again… Original review. All the food I have tried so far has been lovely. The only thing stopping me giving it a 5* is because sometimes the chips are a bit firm and could do with a minute or two longer, and also the mushrooms used on the pizza aren’t nice, would prefer fresh mushrooms. Other than that their curry and/or garlic cheese chips is delicious. Southern fried chicken is juicy and the Ollie bowl is 5* all by itself as is most of the pizzas on the menu.

I eat very regularly at Rios. My favourite take away in the town. Staff are very friendly and love to have the catch up. The food and service is always great with ingredients always being fresh. They're always constantly upgrading the takeaway too. There's a great seating area which feels like home if you want a date with a loved one or a chat with Friends. Believe it or not they also have coffee and bars of chocolate which is very unique for the takeaways in the town! Would absolutely recommend.

Had a pizza meal deal recently at Rio's and absolutely delighted with! Very tasty and fresh ingredients used, lovely and friendly staff. Definitely will be back again 🥰

Staff were really friendly and helpful. While I was trying to decipher the menu the girls asked me few times if I needed any help. Well... food is ok. not amazing, but it is sure tasty. For my liking there was way too much chips. I had ordered fresh cod and chicken (asked for wings and drumsticks - got three pcs of 1/4chicken). Money wise is also ok (because of the a MOUNTAIN of chips!) :) we will probably be eating them until Monday (just joking!) Will I try again? probably, but maybe some kebab (seemed to be praised here) - I shall see how good they are (hopefully, at least half as good as in Turkey).

The food is delicious & hot. Great range to choose from. Good value for money aswell. Staff are so friendly & polite. I would definitely recommend this takeaway 😊
