Rive Gauche in Kilkenny

My husband and I decided to have a lovely Friday dinner in Kilkenny, driving all the way from Dublin for the occasion. After a quick search, Google recommended "Rive Gauche Restaurant", and we’re so glad we took the suggestion! Even though we didn’t have a reservation, the staff kindly seated us at a lovely table. The menu was full of delicious French classics, and I was excited to introduce my husband to proper French cuisine. I ordered the "Coq au Vin" for him and the "Coquille St. Jacques"for myself, along with a "Baileys coffee" to enjoy with our meal. The food was absolutely delicious that my husband happily finished both our plates since I was too full to finish mine. The Baileys coffee was a delightful accompaniment, and the service was impeccable and friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Rive Gauche to anyone looking for authentic French food in a charming setting. We’ll definitely come back!

We recently stopped by Rive Gauche in Kilkenny and as soon as we stepped in, we were greeted by an atmosphere that was reminiscing of a speakeasy in Paris. If you want cocktails that will make your taste buds do the Macarena (especially the Coco Loco) and a night out that’ll leave you with a smile (and possibly questionable memories), Rive Gauche is the place to be. I can’t wait to return and see what other magical potions they whip up.

Great place for family get together

Excelente restaurante en el centro de la ciudad con un menú innovador que ofrece una selección de comidas completas o estilo tapas. Servicio profesional amable en un ambiente funky. Muy recomendable.

Nice spot, been a couple of times now. Only loss of the star is on each visit, a steak was ordered by a different person in our party. Each time it was cooked longer than asked for, we didn't raise this with the staff so won't fault them for it.
