After driving from the ferry near The Saltee Islands and arriving late at our hotel, we found that the hotel restaurant had just closed. Following the hotel personnel's directions, we walked up the hill to the village but could not find a pub serving food that was open. We did however find this place. They were very friendly, the casual food was very good, and the locals that came in were very friendly.

I came here from Dublin , their Fish & Chips was awesome , Waqas attended us very well , nice man with lovely behaviour , Must try their Doner Kebab is well ,

27/09/2026: Pretty alright. Tasty salad, salmon. A bit disappointed in the apple crumble.
21/09/2026: Very disappointing experience at this bar. I felt I was treated unfairly and experienced behaviour that I perceived as racist. Everyone deserves equal respect, regardless of their background. I hope the management takes this seriously and ensures all customers are treated equally.

Montenotte Bistro

12/07/2026: My cousins and I stayed at the hotel on Friday and had light bites and cocktails on the terrace. Everything was fab but really I’m only reviewing because our server Paudie genuinely made our evening, he was so fab! Paudie was so attentive and was great craic too. He really gave us such good service. Thank you Paudie!
08/07/2026: We just spent 5 nights in a River Suite. The Woodlands part of the property is a five star experience. The serene room design, large balcony and club lounge make this a perfect place for celebrating a special occasion or in our case having a quiet home base for exploring Cork and the surrounding areas. Every staff member we encountered was friendly. The service was excellent. You do not have to leave the property as they have a full service restaurant and bar both with panoramic views, fitness center, pool and spa.
