Rustic roots restaurant in Athlone

We were travelling the other day as we just landed back to Ireland, I am allowed to eat just soft foods at the moment due to a surgery I just had. So on the way home to Connemara and I was starving because of my liquid diet. We were trying to find a place where to eat a good soup and I stumbled on this restaurant on google. I called and booked a table and when we got there the Mushroom soups were huge and delicious! I asked the lady if she could just warm it out for me not to hot so I will be able to eat and she was very kind and helpful. Food was delicious unfortunately I wasn’t able to eat it all so my fiance eat both our bowls of soups. But I truly recommend this restaurant and the staff was great.

I do not remember the name of this pasta, but it was absolutely delicious. The portion was quite big, and my waiter was super polite. He even parceled my remaining pasta and brought it for me. Lovely atmosphere too!

Wow! We are visiting from America and we stopped in here for some fish. My friend got a terayki steak and I got a pan fried Cod. Everything was AMAZING. They servers were great and all worked together as well. 12/10 recommend. So delicious, great service, very fairly priced for the meal.

The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant is class. Jurga, the girl in the restaurant is so nice, very pleasant, she runs the show! Food was delicious and the presentation is so appealing and appetizing. We had beef reef,the best burger I ever tasted. This is a must visit restaurant in Athlone. Kudos the owners for running this place.

Everything about this place is amazing!! From the moment we stepped in everything was phenomenal, the artwork on the wall to the beautiful booth we were seated in. The menu has amazing gluten free and vegan options. My dining partner and I both got the full Irish vegetarian breakfast. I had the cranberry juice and my dining partner had the açaí smoothie. Any time we are back in Athlone, we will be coming here!! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

This was a great find when we visiting Athlone, Ireland. We had breakfast and it was delicious! The service was great. Oh!! but the music, the best tunes in Ireland.
