We booked The Grand Hotel restaurant 'Samuals' for my birthday dinner and it was simply wonderful. They were very busy but the staff were so friendly and efficient and were served almost instantly. We had delicious starters and main courses, very large portions. The atmosphere was great too. We were too full for dessert and had coffee instead but then they brought out a complimentary dessert and sparkler and sang happy birthday to me. How good is that! Fabulous meal and music in the bar afterwards by 'broken strings' was great.
