Had a party here for my dad a couple of months ago upstairs in the function room, was such a lovely event the bar tenders were great food was delicious and cannot thank Sarah enough for all her help! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a gathering!

5 stars (one for every slice of pork) Had the Sunday roast, fabulous dinner, very tasty and great portions. A special thank you to our waitress who took it upon herself to bring over a cushion for my elderly grandmother so that she could sit up straight and reach the table. Not often you have staff looking out for customers like that nowadays - it was unexpected and totally appreciated, so thank you to her. I'm sorry I didn't get her name, but she had a French accent I think. Bravo!

Had the most incredible lunch at Sandyford House — perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth beef; seasoned like a love letter from a chef who knows what they’re doing, followed by a sticky toffee pudding so divine it should come with a halo. 😇 Staff were pure gems; friendly, professional, and not afraid of a bit of banter—but a huge shoutout to Sarah, who went above and beyond to make the day feel extra special. 💐✨ Honestly? Faultless.

13/08/2025: I really feel like this is the best chipper in town! We shared the scallops, fish burger, a salad and two wines. The staff were very kind and helpful, giving us personal recommendations based on our tastes. Every single dish was delicious, and the wines were just perfect! As Belgians, we were delighted with the chips! For us, these were the best we had in Ireland so far. The fish was so fresh, and the batter was delightfully crusty and light. We absolutely loved the salad: fresh and simple, and just perfect. We'll definitely be back!

The Patriots Inn

17/08/2025: You couldn't get a more local experience. Of course, the kitchen closes early, but the girl was so kind that even though I'd already eaten and the kitchen had been closed for 5 minutes, they still fried me some fries (I ordered them twice, including the following evening, amazing). Live music too.
10/08/2025: Local pub, very local I'd say. Found it while walking around the outskirts of Dublin, near where we were staying. The menu has limited but excellent choices. My friends had fish and chips, which were good, fried to perfection. I had the veggie burger, which was good, a little lacking in sauce, but highly recommended. Recommended! You can definitely soak up the atmosphere. There was also live music, which was absolutely pleasant and unobtrusive.
