We recently visited as part of a tour group. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff, food, drink, and entertainment were fantastic and made for a very memorable evening. This was our first trip to Ireland and this little bar is one of the reasons we will be back.

Quaint place on the bay. Great service from all staff. I even got to help bar owner grab a bottle of top shelf cause taller employee was helping in kitchen. Was fine for me, I Tend bar at home in U.S., and was a kick for my parents to see me behind the pine in another country.

Stayed in the B&B rooms above the Saratoga for one just night at the end of a 10 day trip to Ireland, and they were great. The bar/B&B is in a really quiet location about 15-20 mins drive from Waterford, with some fantastic views over the beach / bay. The rooms were really comfortable with fantastic bathrooms, tea and coffee facilities, and a fabulous breakfast, cooked to order in the morning. The food in the pub in the evening was also really good, especially the fish pie (NB. Their website suggests they don't do food, but they do some days of the week - I think Thursday to Sunday) and if the sun is shining the beer garden overlooking the beach is wonderful.

We stayed 1 night in the B&B it was a lovely stay very clean staff very friendly and the breakfast was very nice. They just need to change the single bed in the family room at the end it was very bad and uncomfortable they need to change it and walls are very thin as a person came in next door at 1am and the TV on all night

Hunter's Hotel

03/11/2024: In my mind Ireland has lost so many things of beauty over the decades, but Hunters hotel has not changed since my first visit over 50 years ago. Having been brought there for my birthday luncheon where everything was every bit as good as I expected, even the weather which meant an enjoyable walk round the unique gardens. While enjoying today's Sunday luncheon with relations, it dawned on me how nice if a group of actors could arrive and sit down at an opposite table in period costume and act as though they were part of a Mrs Marpole drama. Especially as the perfect atmosphere is in this wonderful timewarp of a place, to have a number such enactments during the year.
