A very neat experience, to say, you've had a pint of Irish's finest at the oldest standing bar in Ireland 🇮🇪 We enjoyed a quite drink in the back booth. Looking at the treasures found on the walls and relishing in the entire experience. Of how many passersby's have come through this place, and how many more to come.

what can I say... the oldest pub in Ireland. serves only drinks. we managed to get seats at a small table while we took 10 min to have a half pint. quick, great atmosphere, lots of history. worth the stop!

Haven't been in here in 50 years, complements to the management it is much improved! Place was hopping and a really nice atmosphere atmosphere. Lovely pints,I won't leave it so long for my next visit.

It's the oldest bar in Ireland...The World?! 900 A.D. It has some real history, and we were lucky enough to catch Timmy in on the weekend we rolled in. He was kind enough to give us some of the history, and talked about the signature Sean's Bar Whiskey. Irish Fest is calling for next year in our locale next time around!

30/09/2025: Incredible food, fast service and lovely atmosphere. Only downside is there are not many places to sit! We had Poached Eggs and Peanut Rayu, and pancakes for breakfast. They do generous sized portions and it’s super tasty! Everything is reasonably priced and great vegetarian and vegan options. Plant based milk is an additional cost.

07/09/2025: Probably the best food I have had in Ireland and definitely the best Thai food I have outside of Thailand. We were beyond surprised to find this gem in Athlone. The food was so delicious and very authentic. Rachel is a super star! She is very friendly and attentive. A huge shout out to everyone in the kitchen and a young man from KL who brought us our food. KinKhao a roi maak!
