Sean's Bar in Athlone

Excellent service even do they were very very very busy there , I had rang in advance which they were very much appreciated, menu can be got on line ( so you could save on time and place your order on the phone that's if only press for time ) a traditional pub true and true with very helpful staff so big tumb up for me here

Really happy we chose to visit Sean's Bar. We had a friend coming over from Kansas. He was delighted with the atmosphere, the vibe, the history of the Bar. Tim was the main man. He was so friendly, happy to share his knowledge and seemed really dedicated and happy to discuss with everyone. Definitely a highlight of my friend's journey. Highly recommend 👌 👍

The OLDEST Bar in the world and so much more!!! Amazing place that has been in continuous operation since 900AD. The place was Lively, full of stories and for the sake of Saint Paddy, would we have the Pleasure of the Pleasure of Paddy Merrigan, famous jockey, horse trainer / owner...gadabout extraordinarre who bought us a round and shared his "fascinating" story which is featured on YouTube

The vibe is very good in the bar, the bouncers were also quite friendly to us. The whiskey sour is the best ones I've ever had!!! Recommend to visit them
