I had the chance to visit Sean’s Bar in Athlone, the oldest bar in Ireland, and it was a fantastic experience. The place has a traditional, old-style charm that truly makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. From the outside, it looks small, but once inside, it opens up into cozy spaces with a larger seating area at the back. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a pint and soak in the authentic Irish pub experience. When I heard that it was the oldest pub in the world, I couldn't contain my excitement and arrived just before it opened. I wanted to take a photo of the exterior of the store, but a truck was parked in front of it, so I couldn't take a photo from the front...After that, I entered the store just as it opened at 10:30. I ordered a Guinness for my first drink, and a sweet beer (like a shandy❔) that was recommended by the bartender for my second drink. The atmosphere inside the store was nice and the staff were cheerful, so I had a great time.

A historic place, excellent beers, very friendly staff. I believe it is the most interesting (and oldest) pub in Ireland, worth a visit.

It was one of my plans to see the oldest pub in Ireland, I visited the place today. I am impressed! A cozy, nice, traditional, sincere pub! The music was great, wasn't loud and I was hearing the person towards me. I got a lovely vibe from there. Enjoy your drink there.

Nice pub cosy and warm. Downside doesn't serve food but if your just going for a drink and socialising then yeah it's ideal

I was in Sean's bar just for few pints , the guinness was lovely staff very friendly and great atmosphere, would highly recommend a visit here
