Ireland’s oldest bar and probably Ireland’s best bar! Amazing bar with very reasonable pricing and very friendly staff who really know their local history. Fantastic atmosphere and I will stop by again!

Guinness World Record proclaimed it the oldest bat in Ireland. It's a must see! Fantastic little pub in Athlone. They have a glass plate on the wall to see the original waddle & Wicker walls. Fantastic experience!

Cracking spot for Guinness and craic. Ryan, our barman, was full of chat and local history. Looking forward to returning.

Great place to visit if you love old pubs. The inside is deceiving. What you think is a tiny pub expands to the door just past the end of the bar into a cozy little back room with a fire. Beyond that is a large outdoor section that opens during the warmer months.

30/12/2024: This is the cutest little restaurant in the old part of Athlone. We’ve been here a few times and it is always more than good. We booked in for a meal yesterday and the service was outstanding. The waiters were so attentive, the food was so amazing. The interior and decor is fabulous. Highly recommend!
