First, a huge shoutout to Ashlynn who didn't just serve us while we sat at the bar, but was one of the most pleasant bartenders we have ever spent time with. It is a small pub and not much different than other pubs, but being the oldest in Ireland, you just need to go and have a drink.

Sean’s Bar in Athlone, Ireland’s oldest pub since 900AD, was my first time back since working there in college in 1997. The historic decor still charms, service remains quick and friendly, and the upgrades are impressive. A must-visit—100% recommended for its atmosphere and authenticity.
