Shake Dog in Waterford

Absolutely love the design of the diner. Staff are always very helpful and nice and always smiling. My daughter got their chicken tenders that are marinated in buttermilk and were juicy and tender, served on a bed of iceberg lettuce that there was no need for. Just chuck the tenders in a basket. BBQ sauce is amazing, Garlic mayo was a little bland. I got their regular burger. Burger feels like it has a lot of filler in it. It's soft and moist but felt like a flat meatball. The tomato I got was from the top of the beef tomato and had a lot of woody bulp which wasn't the best feel in the mouth. Over all the tenders are a winner, burger was a let down. We had their milkshakes too which by far are the nicest you will find around. Great choice too. I'll definitely stop in again but maybe stick to their chicken.

Great short order menu freshly served. Fine milkshakes, good choice of burritos, burgers, chicken. Clean place with a good view of green areas. American diner style seating - mainly booths. Would eat here again. (When I was there, 2 family groups arrived & 3 children started jumping on the seating. Could you all have the manners not to do that? No one wants your outdoor dirt stamped onto the clean seats that people sit on to eat dinner.)

Top notch food at a very fair price

Good breakfast for under €10 in 2026 ! Almost unheard of in Ireland. Had scrambled eggs & bacon with coffee & toast, and pancakes & bacon with tea. Kate was our waitress, who was efficient and friendly. The food was absolutely perfect & good portions.

Hi everyone! Did you know that Sake Dog now offers Mexican food? We were pleasantly surprised and decided to try their burritos-they were delicious. The service was great, the music was enjoyable, and the place itself is clean, bright, and welcoming. I highly recommend it -definitely worth a visit!

Ok place staff not very engaging with customers unless customers spoke same language as they do, other wise table staff don't greet you don't smile don't ask if everything is ok or is there anything else they can do while your there, I visited here recently and while I was here with other people the server came to our table asked for our orders we had only just sat down in the seats, and had not even looked at the menu, so while looking at the menu they came back again and we had to ask them for little more time and we would call them when we were ready to place order, anyway once we got our food I observed the same server engaging very well and happily with other customers who were very fluent in same language that the server was also fluent in, and this was observed happening at many other tables but at no time during my and my fellow companions receive same type of curtious friendly interaction during our visit, I think shake dog Waterford needs to review their customer services training and engagement and insist in their staff communication with customers in English language only while on shift. So experience by all customers can be 100% inclusive.
