Sheraton Athlone Hotel in Athlone

Upon arrival we where greeted by tierna who was incredibly polite and chatty. She also upgraded our room for us to a deluxe and after a long day's travel this was much appreciated :). The room was spotless and spacious and I can't think of anything to complain about 5/5 will come back.

Love the location and the ambience, small gripe is no toilet brush,also would be helpful to have a Service room sign to place on door when going out ,might be helpful to cleaning staff,we seemed unfortunate to miss when out,only to have to leave room or deny service. OTHERWISE, staff are Excellent and breakfast Superb.would recommend to family and friends

Center located hotel very close to shops and restaurants. Very good gym and nice pool with hydrotherapy. Parking is free !

Arrived on a Saturday have to say it was great seeing everyone enjoying their time away and it was extremely busy. Great range of gym equipment and not to busy. Went to the leisure centre and enjoyed my time and just one problem is that the Steam room was so hot that my skin was going red and a other guest was sitting on the floor and a woman arrived in and left within a minute. I informed the staff. Food and restaurant staff very courteous. Room spotless. We will be calling back.

Rooms are lovely and clean with a comfortable bed Front of house staff were friendly & helpful Dinner was lovely - table service was slow to hand out menus & pick up orders from the table. The food was great Breakfast was great- great selection of food. Pool area was fantastic for young children. As the kids pool is just deep enough for a toddler

Second time staying for good reason it's a fantastic hotel and really handy location. Great pubs nearby if you want to leave hotel.

First time staying here and was blown away. I stay away for business every week but normally not in Athlone. Have stayed in hotels all over Ireland and UK. This was the best experience I've ever encountered. Amazing warm welcome with a bit of fun. Lovely room. Everywhere was spotless. Food in bar really good but staff even better. Amazing service , chat and advice. Breakfast same, warm welcome great food. Best staff team I've met, absolute credit to hotel. 100% recommend. No pics as I was having too much of a nice time. I was running an ultramarathon when I got delayed on the way. It started pouring, and I was completely soaked and chilled to the bone. When I finally arrived at this hotel, the staff welcomed me warmly and offered me a cup of menthol tea, which immediately helped me feel better. I’m truly grateful for their kindness and hospitality. I’ll be heading back out on the course soon — thank you to the wonderful team here for taking such good care of me!
