One of my favourite places in Galway. Outstanding cheese and accompaniments. It's a regular treat for us. Reasonably priced for the level is quality of the produce. Can't recommend enough!

Asked the lovely assistant to give me a selection of 5 Irish cheeses for a cheese board and couldn’t be happier. The cheese was amazing as was the assistant and shop itself. Highly recommended and while they have lots of international cheeses why would you bother when they have at least 10 regional Irish ones and the 5 I bought were superb.

Can't believe I'm actually reviewing a cheese shop on google, but this place was so lovely I had to. Great produce and a really friendly, passionate staff member who spoke about the cheeses with such love and knowledge that I was very sad that I don't live locally & can't be a regular customer.

There are some many great choices I couldn't figure out what to get. The lad behind the counter was super helpful. We all enjoyed his choices. We then went upstairs and found a couple of great wines.

Really nice place to relax and have a cheeseboard. The host, Pietre is very nice and knowledgeable of all the wines available. This place is highly recommended.

We visited back Galway back in April and popped in to get a little snack during our adventures. The team was so helpful and also provided us with some lovely extra cheese on the house. Thank you for your kindness, we will be sure to come back on our next travels!

19/12/2025: Warm friendly welcoming pub offering live music 7 nights a week. Doesn't serve food.
10/12/2025: I loved it. Absolutely beautiful and the Christmas decorations were fantastic. I've heard that Ed Sheeran filmed the music video for "Galway Girl" here. I don't know for sure, but I've heard it's a popular meeting place for artists. Whether that's true or not, I really enjoyed it and I recommend it.

07/12/2025: Brought my auntie Noreen out for a bite to eat last week and we came across this place. The soup was lovely . Nice creamy texture with a lovely dark ruby red colour shimmering through the transparent bowl it was served in. It was that good my auntie Noreen ordered two more. I haven’t seen her consume as much soup in years. There was also a terrific ceilí band playing in the corner throughout our lunch. Not to be noticed by Noreen however as she’s stone deaf but she was already overwhelmed with delight from the taste of the creamy soup. I would highly recommend you give this cracker of a pub a visit.
