Sicilian Delights in Cork

Love the garden setting, and that it's cool in hot weather and cozy inside when it's cold weather.

The service was fast and the waitresses were friendly. Unfortunately they were out of one of the ingredients for the pasta I ordered but it was still very good regardless. Coffee is one of the best I've had in Cork.

Lovely place with nice food. I had a panini siciliano and it was great. Also good to stay there for some time by the window.

This place was recommended to me by my Italian friend, so I invited my mother-in-law for an authentic Italian lunch. We ordered two dishes with an extra portion of smoked salmon (Fusilli Salmone - my dish, and Lasagna - hers). Yeah… not the best decision, because both dishes were so salty it was basically impossible to enjoy them. The weird part is I even tried the salmon on its own - and it was insanely salty. Like, even without the extra portion, it would’ve still been inedible. I absolutely loved the atmosphere though, and we’ll definitely come back because I don’t want to judge a place based on a first try (we all know those can go wrong). What I really didn’t like: when we were about to pay, my mother-in-law mentioned to the staff that the food was extremely salty - the guy just acted like he didn’t hear it. I then said that I understand feedback might not be needed, but it would be good to pass it to the chef since the salt level was unbearable - and he literally snapped back that he was busy and would pass it on “when he can.” Not nice at all. Anyway, we’ll give it another shot!
