Silken Thomas, menu in Kildare

Only had lunch, chicken Caesar salad. Delish 👍 a little pricey for a lunch though.

In a great location and very popular for breakfast ... those people in the hotel are eating plus it is open to the public so there are many walk in customers I saw the positive reviews on Google and wanted yo try it out. I am pleased I did as the breakfast came very quickly after ordering, the pot of tea was very hot and more than enough for 2 cups. All the food was very fresh and tasty. The atmosphere was also great and each person was made to feel welcome... I was dining alone but was still made to feel valued and welcome which is a great skill to see in action Definitely recommended 100% and I may see you there as I Will be back soon

Great bar, great music, great food x always

Located in the centre of Kildare town has a well established restaurant. Staff were nice, food could have been warmer but was tasty and price is average. They have a car park at the back of hotel or paid street parking.

We would like to say our stay was extremely pleasant,room was perfect,staff were so helpful and lovely.Great break away ,near kildare outlet.

We had dinner here and stayed for a few drinks afterwards. The food is very good, starters, main and desserts were really good, service is excellent. In the bar the drink is good and when we were there very good live mudic

The three of us stayed for two nights as B&B. Super friendly team. Thank you to Brenda and Frances for looking after us. Delicious breakfast and generous portions. Enjoyed Irish Breakfast, Porridge, Veggie Breakfast, Poached Eggs & Avocado, Scrambled Eggs & Avocado. Off the lunch menu, we enjoyed Chicken Wings, Goats Cheese Salad, Pâté. Great Rockshore Cider on draught. Residents bar is a great cosy vibe. Not to mention that Kildare Castle (Ireland's most important castle - according to the plague) is located in the car park!

We opted to take breakfast at Silken Thomas and it was a good choice. Very friendly serving staff and clearly very popular with locals which is a good sign. Despite being very busy service was prompt and efficient. Added advantage of free parking behind the pub made this an excellent choice as free parking in town expires at 9am if staying overnight.
