Silken Thomas, menu in Kildare

We had dinner here after visiting the National Stud & Japanese gardens. The food was amazing & was served so quickly, we actually couldn't believe how fast it was served! The place looks lovely too & is very cosy. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely go back again 😊

Love this place for Sunday dinner

We were in Kildare and dropped into Silken Thomas for lunch. It was very busy but the staff seemed very used to that and were friendly and efficient. It was comfortable and had a great buzz. Both the 00 Guinness and the real thing were excellent. The food was plentiful but kind of old Irish country hotel standard. The roast beef was very overcooked. Just not the type of food we like. But lots of people there seemed very happy and well fed.

We were hosted by Valerie and a lovely blond haired lady (apologies I can't recall your name) for a ladies lunch for my Mam's birthday and I was so genuinely impressed with the attention we were given by all staff. They came out with full lungs to sing happy birthday to my Mam with her cake and so kindly offered to take so many pictures to capture the moment. The food was very impressive and for a party of 6 extremely reasonably priced. A lovely afternoon was had by all. Thank you so much.

Met up with extended family at the Bluebells & Buskers Festival and decided to rendezvous in Kildare Town in this wonderful establishment which has long intrigued me travelling through this historic town. Thanks to the enthusiasm and great organization on a busy Bank Holiday Sunday we were all soon seated comfortably together. The staff were brilliant and the 10 of us in the group had a wonderful meal with every preference attended to with perfection. The beautiful decor and friendly atmosphere adds to the professional management of customer needs self evident from the minute I set foot inside. The Silken Thomas staff know how to make people happy with the perfect touch.

The food offering is good with good service. Staff are very efficient. Price range reasonable.

I could not fault this little gem - rooms were beautiful, great customer service and a great atmosphere. The lady that checked us in was amazing fantastic customer service ,well done, we will be back ❤️
