I really wanted to love this pub. It gets great reviews and has a nice atmosphere. Service was friendly and prompt. We ordered beef faijitas which was a huge mistake. The fajitas consisted of slices of beef (a few) in a gloppy sort of Chinese chili sauce. The usual (as least in the US) sour cream was sort of a whipped cream in a small side dish. No pico de gallo, no guacamole, no nothing. They did come with nice flour tortillas. These were just nothing that resembled tex-mex or mexican fajitas we've ever seen and they were not good. Simpsons has a large menu. I would stay away from the 'mexican' entrees based on our experience. Fish and chips maybe?

Popular with the locals. We enjoyed two meals here. We would go back despite a disappointment on Sunday. We tried to make it for the Sunday roast on 6/8/25, we got there about 3:20, and were seated at a table at 3:35 PM. The roast ends at 3:30 PM sharp!!! NO wiggle room at all. You would think you were in Germany not Ireland! There was no Yorkshire pudding to serve to us even though we ordered the roast beef dinner at 3:35PM and paid the regular price. The Yorkshire pudding is only available before 3:30! Otherwise, the food was good, we just can’t say anything about the Yorkshire pudding since we weren’t able to have it!!

A really lively meal, good sizportions too. The Sirlion on hot skillet with stir-fried vegetables delicious. Goats cheese and chicken and pesto was a strange combination, especially with BBQ sauce over it!

17/06/2025: We visited the restaurant and were delighted! 🍽️ I really liked everything - delicious food, large portions, after which you definitely won't be hungry. The atmosphere is cozy, the interior is stylish and thought out to the smallest detail - it's nice to be inside. A separate plus is the convenient location, easy to find and get to. I definitely recommend it, we will come back more than once! 🌟

26/06/2025: We stayed in joyce’s lodge. We were surprised when we checked in to our room, definitely didn’t expect it to be that good for the price we paid. Very clean very cosy and i would definitely recommend it to anyone. Great experience
22/06/2025: We stayed at the accommodation for one night. The rooms are located above a pub and are spacious and clean. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby.
