It's a nice place staff are super friendly and helpful a very family feel for this place great for young children.. Food is nice nothing special but it is tasty would recommend no problem.. Price wise it's a little pricey for what it is but overall a good experience

The service and the atmosphere both are excellent. The food though, the chef had the audacity to send this burnt burger bun to the table. I was there with my husband and I checked if his was burnt and it yup.. it was burnt too. Both of us are starving and in a rush to go back to work, so we didn’t return it. It was our first visit & we were disappointed!

The staff is very helpful, and they offer a great range of food for a reasonable price. I got the vegetarian omelette, which came with toast (or brown bread) and a tea or coffee for €12. Delicious, filling, and a great price for all you get, given today's economy. The waitress was a little bit forgetful (I had to remind her a coffee came with my food), but she explained to me she was training in a new staff member for the Xmas period. She was very apologetic, and it was honestly nice to get a "real" response from her. Can't fault the waitress at all. :) One star deducted for the loud music, and for the large menu which isn't laid out very cohesively. It was hard to decide what to eat purely because there were so many distractions. Other than that, it's a great place with nice, clean food and great value for money. Portion sizes are generous, the staff is lovely, and there are a lot of options to choose from on the menu.

Really nice stop for a breakie. Came in as a part of nearly 2 dozen people. They accommodated us really well and food was out in a timely manner. Burgers were beautiful, pancakes were fresh and the full Irish was perfect.

My first visit. Food was lovely but we ordered wrong as we got away too much food. We just wanted chips on the side. It was like another meal with the sambo. I couldn't finish it. But what I had tasted good

I have been going to Smith's Diner regularly for years now. The food is great, the staff is helpful and very friendly, and the atmosphere is always lively and easy going. Patrons are a mixed bag of all ages which makes it very relaxed and family friendly. Love the place and can only advise you to give it a go. You won’t be disappointed.

Friendly staff, the food we had was so good, nearly too much to choose from on the menu wanted to try it all. We got Hawaiian burger, bacon cheese chips, full Irish , kids sausage meal with ice cream. We were just passing through and googled good places to eat in Cavan, very happy we chose smiths diner. Recommend to everyone. Will be back if up that neck of the woods again.
