Fantastic place full of authentic Irish atmosphere. The food is delicious, especially the fried mushrooms, but everything is delicious. The service is friendly, attentive, and fast, and it's a truly fun place! Highly recommended!

The sbailbox was outstanding, highly recommend thus place to overland travellers. Got a snailbox cap from the staff, promised to take a good picture with it for the wall!

Fantastic restaurant and pub. Food excellent. Service and athmosphere superb. Great friendly staff and owner. Highly, highly recommend. I live in Melbourne but make sure I pay it a visit or two everytime I'm home in Ireland.

Cullen's at the Cottage

13/07/2026: We had a wonderful celebratory luncheon at Cullen's at the Cottage to mark my son's engagement during our Ireland trip, complete with a lovely bottle of champagne, which was thoroughly enjoyed. The food was fantastic, and the service was swift and calculated, the kind of perfected service that's subtle, never distracting, yet very noticeable. If you can not stay at Ashford, I highly recommend a dining experience at Ashford Castle. We followed up our lunch with a Hawk Walk at the School of Falconry on site, which was magical! Great memories made!
28/06/2026: We loved our dinner here! The food was incredible and the atmosphere was quiet. I especially loved the butter with the bread!
