Sol Rio in Westport

A super cozy place, perfect for a romantic date. We couldn't be happier with the food. I highly recommend the Sirloin Steak. Everything was delicious and not at all expensive. The portions were very large and the presentation of the dishes was wonderful. We didn't have room for it. dessert but just seeing the desserts on other tables we couldn't resist!! The dessert of the day was delicious!!! And the price is very reasonable

Lovely food, staff efficent and friendly

We both had the fish stew and it was superbly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The tomato sauce was full of herby flavour and the fish chunks were wonderful bites of delight. The mussels were fresh and cooked just right. All perfect. Don't forget to ask for dinner bowls and bowls for shells, and they arrive promptly once asked for.

We came on the recommendation of the bartender in the pub across the square from our hotel. Oh my goodness. Wonderful squid and prawn tempura appetizer. Penne asparagus cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had the two course early special. Also very reasonable especially for a sophisticated sit down, quiet place

Really helpful and vegan alternatives.

The restaurant is on the second floor of its building and has a good deal for a 2-course meal during early bird special between 5:30-7pm! My friend and I are both gluten free (my friend has celiac) and they have many options and the waitress was helpful and friendly in explaining them. The seafood chowder was delicious and the flourless chocolate cake (pictured) was rich and indulgent and enough to split for 2! Sadly, the gluten-free pizzas we ordered were both cold, the veggies on top were undercooked and the crust was nearly raw so we wouldn’t recommend them.
