I was in Athlone on a shopping trip and stopped here for Elevenses, a coffee and scone. I was glad I did, the staff were so friendly.An American tourist popped in for a coffee and to ask about parking in the area.one of the staff was super helpful, even going so far as to cross the street to help him with the ticket machine. The scone was lovely and fresh, I will definitely return and stay longer next time. Congrats on great service.

Both the best coffee and the best hot chocolate we had during our trip. Very cozy coffee, many plant-based milk alternatives, a cozy atmosphere, and the snacks and sweets were also delicious. A definite recommendation!

Very friendly staff, the breakfast was amazing. The cappuccino was made with great care. The toast deserves special attention because it was one of the best I've ever had. This place surprised me.

There's a small parking lot and street parking located in the front. Very cute little coffee shop with some indoor seating. Really tasty coffee. The blueberry muffin was extremely flavorful and moist! The sausage roll was just ok.

Rustic roots restaurant

28/05/2025: I've eaten here multiple times now and the food is absolutely amazing! Honestly one of the best sandwiches I've had. The burgers are so tasty too and portions are massive! It's well worth it for the price. Staff are friendly and it's a warm, welcoming restaurant. Hats off to the chefs!
09/05/2025: Good food. Ordered Irish beef and Guinness stew but a little taste of the mashed potatoes. The bread was ok. Good service. Perfect place to stop by if you are in Athlone.

Savoury Fare

13/05/2025: Food is always lovely and there's a great selection of sweet treats. However we were charged €9 for a regular pot of tea which is absolutely scandalous! EDIT: came back a month later for lunch and got a smash burger. It was overcooked, very dry and the bacon was incinerated. Had to leave half of it behind as it was tasteless.
06/05/2025: After a long walk by the canal, we were looking for somewhere to get coffee and cake. Freshly made. Not full of preservatives. We walked past so many that just didn’t fit the bill, then came across this place. What a gem! The deep-filled apple & berries pie was superb: moist and not too sweet. The blueberry & almond slice was also delicious: again, nice and moist and not too sweet. We went for flat white coffee. Perfect temperature and a tasty roast, if a little strong. Thoroughly recommend this place.
