I stopped into Spill the Beans CafĆ© in Athlone and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was so cute and cozy, perfectly decorated and welcoming. I had an amazing chai latte, one of the best Iā€™ve had anywhere. They also offer a great selection of baked goods, including some lovely gluten-free options, which was such a nice touch. Itā€™s the kind of place you could easily spend an afternoon relaxing or catching up with friends. Highly recommend stopping by if youā€™re in the area!

Lovely coffee shop with plenty of character. Tasty coffee. We Didnā€™t have any food but the pastries on display looked very nice . Would definitely recommend.

29/09/2025: Great morning spot. French Toast with fresh fruit, bacon, snd maple syrup was yummy. Hubby had omelette and potatoes. The vanilla latte and mochas were also tasty and even seconds to go:)

26/11/2025: We had a wonderful evening at Fatted Calf. The ambiance was beautiful, and lovely background music played softly. The welcome was warm and inviting. The service was attentive, humorous, and never intrusive! The food was divine! The combination of the appetizer with the black pudding croquettes, the scallops, and the various sauces was an explosion of flavor! Thank you! For the main course, the meat was tender and juicy with a delicious chimichurri sauce. Wonderful! The desserts were simply amazing! Our restaurant visit was the highlight of our time here in Athlone!
