Square Restaurant in Dundalk

Had an amazing experience at Square on Saturday evening. From arrival, waiting staff, suggestions on menu, wine, and then the actual food. The flavours were amazing, I'm not sure how a brocolli side could taste so good! There was a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Six of us ate here last night. By far the best food I've had in Ireland. Food elevated to such a high standard. Delighted this restaurant is so nearby now. Will be regulars now.

Our experience at The Square is worthy of 5 stars. The menu selection was excellent, and the food was amazing - all very fresh, with unbelievable flavour. The atmosphere was great and the service was super. Service was friendly, efficient and professional. I felt our meal was good value for money given the standard of food and service, and overall dining experience.

It was fine. I never knew it was there and I had never been before but we got a gift voucher. Was pleasantly surprised, the quality of foodstuff is good, so therefore, not cheap. Would not go rushing back /regularly, but it was a nice experience and certainly a good option for a date of some sort or special occasion.

Fantastic food and service. They were able to accommodate my dietary needs without issue, and made sure I was taken care of all evening. Will absolutely be going again soon!

We took dinner on December 31st. A table must be reserved in advance. The restaurant is small and cramped, but this adds some charm to the place. Large selection of wine. The dishes are delicious and original. When we arrived it was completely booked, people love this place. We took two starters and two main course, a bottle of water and second-hand beer. Paid 91 euros. The dishes are quite filling, considering the small portions and are based on vegetables. We've been wanting to go here for a long time, and overall we're happy. Delicious food. Friendly service that was able to accommodate substitutions. Wish this restaurant was in Dublin. Can’t wait to go back! Edit: Came back 5 months later from Dublin. Third time this year. Service was again top notch and all the food we ordered was outstanding. Highly recommend their fried chicken, croquettes, corn ribs, pasta, soup… Truth be told, we haven’t tasted anything here that wasn’t next level. All of it is infused with innovative flavours that I haven’t had elsewhere and evidently keeps my husband and me coming back for more! I tell all my friends about this place. It’s also lovely to be able to watch the star chef work passionately in the kitchen from the dining room. He clearly cooks with love. Don’t miss the chance to dine here if you have the opportunity.

Really tasty food! Great service and a nice building to sit and eat in. Would recommend and will definitely go back again.
