We came off the bus at wee hour in the morning, haggard and needy. The staff were incredibly gracious and helpful. The room was perfect for a nights stay or more. The shower hot, beds comfy and the blackout shades were great too.
It may not be right downtown but the walk was easy and we were. Loser to Cobblestone and Broadstone to catch our NX bus to Navan for Hill of tara and Newgrange. Didn’t have a chance to experience food so can’t comment on that.
Def recommend for value and location

The location is poor. We were met by a man using some type of substance on a stoop outside of the hotel, there was a mugging that someone in our group witnessed outside of the hotel, then a person obviously under the influence made their way into the hotel lobby and created a disturbance. All within 2 hours of arriving. The staff has been friendly. The accommodations are worn down. I will not recommended this location. I'm not certain how this is a 4 star hotel.

I stayed here with my family on 11-13 September, 2025. Along with us was our service animal. Around 9:00pm local time on 11 September, I took the service animal outside which required taking the elevator to the lobby and out the front door, passing by the main desk. Upon reaching the front desk area, a hotel associate stopped me and pets were not allowed to stay at the hotel. I replied “your website states guide dogs and therapy animals are permitted.” After a repetition of the exchange, I requested a discussion of the matter after walking the therapy dog.
Upon my return, my partner and I met with the duty manager who stated it was okay for the therapy dog to stay but that advanced notice was required. I noted the policy, present in the FAQ, does not mention a requirement of advanced notice. Additionally, nowhere else on the website nor other posting made clear advanced notice was required for guide dogs or therapy animals.
I reached out to the hotel afterwards in hopes of placing this requirement on the website. Unfortunately, I did not receive a reply.
If staying at this hotel and bringing a guide dog or therapy animal, please be aware they have a policy of requiring advanced notice despite no notice of this requirement.
The hotel otherwise is lovely and located near transportation and tourist attractions. I would consider staying here especially if wanting to be away from crowds and noise at night.

With an unbeatable location, close to both the Garden of Remembrance and The Spire, and minutes from the popular O'Connell Street and Temple Bar district, the hotel is housed in a modern red brick building that once housed the Bethesda Chapel and the Wax Museum.
Our stay there was excellent, the room very comfortable, the Irish breakfast superb, and the staff very warm and friendly.

Very nice hotel, close to the town-centre.
The room was good and clean. Everybody working in the hotel was very friendly, helpful and welcoming!
Breakfast was good, as it should be, Irish!
We recommend this place. Busses are close and within minutes in the centre of Dublin.
