I’ve eaten at a great many restaurants in my life—back home in Germany, as well as on business trips and vacations. Yet, my wife and I had never before looked at each other after a meal, nodded, and immediately booked a table for the following evening. Ambiance, food, and staff: fabulous. Both the lamb and the steak I had the next day were cooked to perfection and tasted divine. Had we not needed to continue our travels, we would have looked at each other, nodded... and the whole thing was gluten-free for me!

We enjoyed a leisurely dinner at this stylish restaurant in the early evening. We felt so comfortable that we stayed longer than planned. The service was excellent, and we didn't feel pressured to leave the table after our meal. Many thanks to the team.

We showed up as family of 5 for Friday dinner at around 8pm and there was no seating inside. But the staff was friendly and offered to join a couple tables to seat us outside. It was a bit chilly, but the town was quite busy and we assumed it would be our best option. Thus we got no sense of the atmosphere inside. The food was generally very good, in particular the sea bass. but the rib eye steak was thinner and overall Smaller than expected - ordered medium rare and arrive a solid medium, with no pink to be found. This was my first steak experience in Ireland so wasn’t sure what to expect. I liken the quality to a US grocery store choice cut. The desserts were also very good but took a solid 15 minutes to arrive after ordering. This would normally not be an issue, but the temps continued to decline and we were at that time, the only party still seated outside. The service was otherwise friendly and attentive. I recommend this establishment, but suggest tempering expectations for the rib eye.

Why I love this place comes down to the people. The food is amazing and people have already talked about that (so good) .. but everyone is so helpful and friendly (I was taken aback). Shout out to Charlotte, Dermot, Rachel, Viola & Katerina 😊😊😊

Bricin

13/05/2026: This was a lovely cozy restaurant with a very friendly staff! We greatly enjoyed all of the food we ordered. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!
12/05/2026: My favorite restaurant in Ireland. You can tell the owner is a true resteraunteir and the staff works very hard. You'll feel very welcomed here. I should also add that the put a lot of care into their vegan options. Great place to take my dad for a traditional boxty while I got a homemade gnocchi with a fresh pesto that was incredible. Don't skip desert!

Murphy's Ice Cream

22/05/2026: What can't I say about this place! We walk in and are immediately greeted by the "sample guy." He asked us about various things and chatted before asking for sample flavors we wanted. He ran and grabbed them for us and also offered some suggestions for decent flavor combinations. We ordered and were able to get two flavors in one dish. Immediately we tried the salted honeycomb and coffee, both of which just melted on the mouth for a wonderful blend of flavors. The ice cream was very rich and just quite delicious. We were very grateful to have stopped in here and stood outside to eat our ice cream to help free up space since we were a larger group. Then Sean Murphy, himself, came out and talked with us. We told him about our reasons for traveling and he told us about the flavor profiles that they have at Murphy's. He then learned of our connection as a choir and asked if we could sing for them. We sang "An Irish Blessing" for them and they were incredibly receptive. Overall this might have been the best experience in Ireland for their kindness, intentionality, and delicious ice cream!
20/05/2026: Exotic varieties, but they're not worth the price.
